I am so glad I chose this book!
I don’t usually comment beyond the stars but I really appreciate the writing style, the characters, and the storyline. It spoke to my heart and life on so many levels. Every now then I find a book and listening experience I enjoy so much That at the end I know I will listen to it again sometime…this is one of them.

It stirs your emotions.
This story is told from a perspective I couldn't quite relate to. It made me angry how she wouldn't save herself. She was so passive and that bothered me A LOT. No victim I is sort of my motto so maybe it just wasn't a good fit for me personally.

Enjoyable for the most part.
For the most part, I enjoyed the book. I could really get into the actual characters and even hope for certain outcomes. However, the only part that was an extreme turn off for me was all the "taking the Lord's name in vain". I honestly don't think so much of that was necessary.

I rarely write reviews let alone click how many stars they should get.
This story was so beautifully written and the emotions could be felt. Perhaps some shared experiences is what makes it so meaningful but I believe the story in its simplicity could be enjoyed by many. It is a story that will stick with me.

Outstandingly Real, Wonderful & Painful
This candid, heartbreakingly beautiful book is a triumph. It moved me in so many ways. I couldn’t stop listening.

Engaging
A lovely story about an unfortunate set of circumstances that happens often in dysfunctional relationships. Hardheadedness, codependent behavior and tough decisions. But love and dedication win.
