About this listen

A group of humans transported to a new reality must fight for their survival—and that of their loved ones—in the third book of this fantasy adventure.

On the planet of Fanwath survival depends on the skills, levels, and powers one attains through combat or exploration. Unfortunately, Morgan, Bronwyn, and Olivia aren’t on Fanwath anymore. In fact, they don’t know where the hell they are, but one thing’s for certain: they’re in constant danger.

Pulled through one portal after another, the trio has found themselves in a seemingly endless dungeon contending with a menagerie of horrors. But the more challenges they face, the more powerful they become—even to the point of transforming their physical beings. And their newfound talents are going to be sorely needed . . .

Because while Morgan is away, his mate, Issa, back in First Landing, learns she’s carrying twins. Overjoyed, she can’t wait for Morgan to return. But Issa’s joy will soon turn to dread, as a mighty enemy fleet approaches First Landing with the aim of “recruiting” its citizens for their evil machinations. Can Morgan and his friends make their way home in time to prevent their worst nightmares from coming true?

The third volume of the LitRPG adventure series from the author of Royal Road hit Victor of Tucson—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Great book and plot!

Loved everything about it. The narrators women’s voices can become quite grating though, not all women need to speak in a high pitched, breathy, damsel in distress voice.

A Decent Addition

While the story continues and is well thought out, there are a few lacking qualities. What purpose do the relationships serve in this story? Building a family is exciting but would the champion of humanity really become a stay at home dad? That’s just lame. Give the characters some character. That means strong motivation, morals, faults not just power ups and lovers. Get rid of the wizard school I’ve read Harry Potter. Does everyone have to be beautiful in this story.

A masterful tale with endless possibilities

The author compiled 3 compelling MC’s that intersected at just the right times. Combined with my knowledge of this world from the Victor of Tucson series, it’s well set up for a momentous grand finale. I’m wondering if the author will culminate both series in one momentous book or if the paths will simply cross over from time to time. I am intrigued to see where this is going. Can’t wait for the next book.

Satisfied with potential

I enjoyed book 3 very much despite some negative comments on the humans. At first it made me leery to continue. I happy I decided to make my own interpretation and evaluation. I totally enjoyed the experience and although there were sad moments a satisfying story for me. Hints of more adventures from the main characters.

Fantastic litrpg hits all the right marks and does so with unbridled excellence!

I rate this story at 4.9 star and that doesn’t change weather I compare it to the other books in the series or other authors. Indeed it’s an easy rating to judge and score even alongside my top favorites. Atleast in the wonderful ride full of perfect entertainment in what’s referred to as Litrpg. Other then that I’ll add what I mentioned with the second book review with the addition of another book. So if you did enjoy the first and second books I feel pretty confident in saying this continues in the same fashion if only better. I don’t know if the writer is perfecting already good work that he does as simply as one does when honing talents into unique skills or maybe that and more where the story and all the elements that make it what it is. Well I’d be more surprised if the author hadn’t created this world with a perfection already envisioned and like Mozart created perfect music on a single attempt no erasers or scratch marks with words crossed only having to record what’s already finished in his head down to paper with pen. The copies are always the originals. The things is (and I know I’m sounding cheesy and that’s with optimism) I just havnt already thought of Plum as one of my personal favorites. So why all the praise. If I was clever I’d like to think the enlightened answer is found with in that query and circumstance. I’m being light though admittedly making fun of myself a bit. But before I’ve lose everyone (my own thoughts included, damn this strain is nice. Called purple cakes something you guys gals know or a tip to keep in mind next time picking trees. Y’a I butchered the name but close enough to recognize). Really though usually when an author has ever become one of my favorites when there new to me. Sure it may not be something you know in the beginning of a book though I’ve almost always had that special appreciation like a favorite wine or music and you just know by the first book. Well with Plum I’ve not felt the same as I did with Rothfuss ofcourse or even with the same genre where the only thing that separate some of my favorite litrpg authors thé some of the other authors that I have rated there work just as high yet wouldn’t and don’t just call many with this criteria my favorites but that’s just simple life and when the circumstances are as I said the only difference comes down to personal opinion to put it generally. Though fun when the books are good enough and full of entertainment that I already gave my rating so no one cares who makes it into my favorites. The point is that I’ll try not to leave reviews when smoking to much. There was honestly a bunch of almost really good and almost perfectly useful info wrapped up in this jumble mess. Hopefully my main points that were meant to help were mentioned right away so I promise the more likes I get the more I’ll try not to over extend my reviews in the future. Deal that makes no sense but just feels fair

Morgan grows a tail!

Fantastic story! I can't wait to see where it goes next! Narration was great, but I don't think he quite has the range for female voices. It would be great if there was a female narrator to do the female voices like has been the recent trend. Some of the women sound overly nasaly or whiney. Overall, it's still fantastic work though!

Great series so far.

I hope the author doesn’t leave us hanging and writes the next one soon. Maybe a crossover, with Victor from Tucson.

This story is quietly excellent

Overall, this story is shaping up to be one of the greats. Even now, 3 books in, ppl aren't paying nearly enough attention and this series is still flying well under the radar. More ppl need to give this series a chance, there is some real quality stuff in here. Well worth checking out!

I genuinely enjoy the Morgan and Olivia sections, Bronwinn is less interesting for me ...but the world building, the magic system, the action sequences, the character progression, and just everything overall is just really well done.

It does bother me a little that there isn't more of a focus on one MC (Morgan), but Olivia is actually very cool ...I'd read a book focused on her too. So I don't mind splitting my time between the 2 of them. Maybe Bronwinn will be more interesting down the road ...her sections aren't painful to get thru, but they do feel like a distraction from the "real story" ...the 2 Fae courts will play a larger role moving fwd tho so I'm still hopeful.

I also don't like seeing characters who don't earn power/strength wield a disproportionate amount of undeserved authority. But, that is super common in this genre and if I'm being honest I've seen waaaaaaaay worse examples of this in other series.

Anyways, as I said, I'm a fan of the series and I highly recommend everyone give it a shot.

Enjoyable

Storyline and world building are interesting and character development is good. I’ve enjoyed the three books and looking forward to the next installment of the series.
