About this listen

Do You Have Questions About the World

Before the Flood? Does the Bible Really Explainthe 'Unexplainable'?

Are we really living "in the days of Noah" as some prophets have said?

How are the events of Noah's Ark and the Flood relevant to the last days?

Are rebellious, fallen angels masquerading as aliens and UFOs today? In this book, Rick Renner — historian and Bible teacher with extensive knowledge of New Testament Greek — clears up some rampant erroneous theories while uncovering brand-new revelations from the Bible. He uses archaeological findings, the writings of Church fathers, trusted historical documents, and Scripture to answer these and other questions, such as:When was the first recorded rapture? What does it tell us about the rapture of the Church?

Are the "sons of God" in Genesis and the fallen angels the same thing?

Who were the watchers God assigned to guard mankind after the Fall?

Was Methuselah’s life a prophetic demonstration of God’s longsuffering that preceded judgment?

What did God’s promise of “120 years” really mean?

Where is Noah’s Ark today? And why did God save only Noah and his family?

Are there any consequences of unholy living today?

Using photos from his own expeditions in the lower Ararat mountains — along with other empirical evidence of the Ark’s location — Rick captivates readers in this book and brings the Bible to life concerning this favorite childhood story. Fallen Angels, Giants, Monsters, and the World Before the Flood is “a museum in a book” and a must-have edition to refresh and refire your walk with God!

This book was very detailed and I learned a lot of new information. Rick Renner’s information was closely tied to the Bible as well.

Very beginner level introduction to the subject matter. if you have read any other book on the subject, you likely will not find new ground here. Recommended to those who have never explored the subject matter before.

Great for newbies to the subject

He does an excellent job at brevity and conciseness. It’s enjoyable to listen to him reading his books! The author does a good job at specifying exactly the teaching as found in the Holy without going beyond scriptures into speculation!

Excellent

Overall I enjoyed the book. There isn't a lot that was new to me (I gathered most of it just from my own biblical study), but I like how it's presented and there is a fair bit of modern information/history that was enlightening.

However, I have to question, is there a reason that every historical author supporting this position has their quotations omitted from the audiobook? We get their biographical details, sometimes with a hint of what they wrote, and then he introduces their document and proceeds directly to the next person.

Are those quotations in the print book? Why aren't they here?

My real complaint, though, is about the narration. Was this really narrated by the author? Are we sure about that?

Here's the problem. His pronunciations are more inconsistent than any audiobook I've ever listened to. There are lots of false starts and places where the audio just cuts off in the middle of a word then it's picked up again a few seconds later. There are a LOT of weird, random pauses, as though he's taking a second to move to the next line or turn a page in a passage that is clearly meant to be contiguous.

And, most egregious, at least for me personally, is there are numerous, numerous, numerous places where the abbreviation A.D. is being pronounced like the word "add" or "add dee" and it drives me absolutely nuts.

Did anyone even proof this audio before it was published??

The author narrated this? Really?

If you ever got confused reading the Old Testament of the Bible, especially the mysteries of the sons of God, then you ought to read this book. What an excellent work by Rick Renner!

An excellent book

Renner leaves no stone unturned while taking you down a historical journey that paves the way to our modern-day scenario of “as in the days of Noah”. To know where we are headed in the future, we must understand our past ancestors and their account of events that took place. The details that accompany the stories in God’s sacred word matter and Renner accurately explains these translations. Looking forward to reading his other works as I continue to study my Bible.

I enjoyed the warning given to mankind that was outlined by the Lord. Grace, Mercy, and the Lord's sacrifice paved the path forward to all who would believe.

The scriptures that validated the evident

I am pretty disappointed in the person reading this book. The number one biggest reason is when it comes to a scripture that is written out in the book. Because i'm following along with the audible in a actual physical book. The reader is not always reading the scriptures especially anything that was out of the books like enoch. Although he has missed other things that were clearly written out in the book. Not everybody has a copy of Enoch. So you don't know what should have been said. Most people probably don't know what they're missing because they're not following along in a physical copy such as I am. one example is on page 104. It says taking into account the meaning in the original language the R.I.V. The Renner Interpretive version of 2 Peter 2:4 says. then , in the audible version , it skips the entire scripture that he was saying and then it goes on and says "I realize the materials in this chapter deal with...." so if you are listening closely, you would catch that 2 Peter says and then goes on and says "I realize the materials is not what." And clearly this is not what 2 Peter 2:4 says. Kind of aggravating. And not just for me. It's because a lot of people who only got the audible version are clearly missing out on the book as a whole. And it appears to me as if the author is the one who's reading the book. This saddens me even more, I would have expected excellence in such a great undertaking as this work.

Disappointed
