About this listen

The FBI Files Boxed set (Books 1-3) contains Prince of L.A., Leo on Fire, and A Thousand Vermilion Stars. These exciting novels tell the story of Special Agent Max Prince and his team's new partner and profiler, Dr. Leo Reeves. Along with the rest of the team veteran agent, Lincoln Snow has assembled are a fine assortment of Marine Corps vets and even a Green Beret. Come along on the journey as these men find resolution, peace, and happiness to their very different lives once they find each other.

From Prince of L.A.:

Special Agent Leo Reeves is new to the FBI’s L.A. field office. His career has been on track since the day he joined the bureau. He loves his job as a profiler and being assigned to a new team in one of the busiest offices in the nation will be the opportunity of a lifetime…if he can put the past behind him. The face Leo shows the world is strong, focused, dependable, and capable. The long list of citations in his file only serve to prove how good he is.

If he could only forget he was sired by a monster.

Former Marine Staff Sergeant, Max Prince, leads by example. Whether it means protecting men in battle, working for the US Marshal service, or being the best damn field agent the FBI has ever seen, he brings a special kind of bravery to the job. His teammates depend on his ready smiles, his funny jokes, and know him as the excellent agent he’s proven to be. They never see the man who buried his heart eight years ago.

The last thing he wants is to fall for the new guy.

When a serial killer suddenly starts targeting innocents, both men have trouble pinning down who they’re dealing with. With victimology all over the place, Leo can’t make sense of a profile, and Max simply wants to put the bastard away before he murders anyone else. The case is maddening but worse, the attraction the two men find every time they look at each other, is beginning to get in the way.

Book 1: A Criminal Minds Episode

Book one was a huge disappointment. First of all, the case was copied from a criminal minds episode. I think it was the season 6 finale. Second, I’m not feeling a connection between the characters. Sure, they’re good in bed, but I need an emotional connection. They still hardly know each other at the end of the book. I’m hoping books 2 and 3 are better. I loved Garret and Thayne so I’m hoping Mack and Leo can be a winning couple, too.
P.S. This author has terrible taste in music. It’s all from the past century.

Good Set

Michcael Dean is one of my favorite narrators and he does a wonderful job of portraying the characters in this series. Patricia Logan writes the HEA that Leo and Max deserve. easily worth a credit.

Nothing

Worst book I’ve ever purchased and I have a lot. Nothing good whatsoever. Waste of money.
