Essential weight loss resource

The great thing about this book is the holistic approach it takes. It's not about diets and short-term success, it gives you the foundation for lasting change. I also like how it's done in bite size pieces; you only have to listen to a few minutes a day! The author has done a fantastic job of providing an accessible and sustainable approach to weight loss. Mental Healh Route to Weight Loss

As a stress eater, I appreciate this book’s approach to weight loss, in that it focuses on relaxation, stress and negativity release, and improving self-assurance as a means to healthier eating and fitness. The nine guided self-hypnosis or meditation sessions seek to help you achieve a state of serene calm, let go of bad energy and thoughts, and generate a sense of internal power. The slow, comforting, and relaxing narration is impactful. I particularly like the suggested visualizations–a babbling brook in a forrest, a set of burning candles, and the like–as a means to relax, let go, and change your mindset. Likewise, repeated mantras help you to integrate a new way of thinking.

These changes in mindset and thinking are both general (such as you can achieve anything) and specific (such as you become excited about fitness). The author’s central thesis is that a change in your self-image and internal dialogue will lead naturally to a change in eating habits and body shape. If you are frustrated with strict diets and yo-yo weight change and feel you lack control, you will appreciate this book, which seeks to establish control over your approach to eating and fitness from within.

What's great about this book is its calming yet impactful nature. Very calming narrator

Weight loss is more about the mental than the physical. I just needed someone to tell me that I was ok and not alone. There are lots of meditation and hypnosis in this book, and I really like the narrator. I've got this!

Lasting weight Loss results!!!!

Destiny Johnson has written a great book!!! Her Choice of Sandy Detweiler to narrate it was excellent (she absolutely was key in getting me in a hypnotic state for the first time in my life!!!). I am glad my husband shared it with me because I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and since it was so enjoyable I learned tons!!!

Ever since I gave birth to my 3 boys i have been looking for ways to eat healthier and lose weight. I have tried every kind of diet. Even contemplated surgery. However I knew / know there has to be a better way. When you boil it down you just have to change your habits, its that simple right.....well.....yes.....but how do you do that. This book gave me the understanding of the power of hypnotherapy and affirmations to change my habits!!!!

I am so excited to continue this journey. Thank you for writing and narrating such a great book. I highly recommend it.
