About this listen

Imogene's Past Life Regressions cause dire Consequences for Mankind. Is Reincarnation a Reality?

Imogene's Past Lives is the second book in the Imogene series.

The Phineas Priesthood and the Guardians of Avebury Circle battle to save or destroy mankind. The Council of Elders use Imogene, daughter of Guardian Xantara, to instigate penalties against the world. Despite the efforts of Frank Carrington, British prime minister, world leaders will not agree to disarm and share their countries' wealth.

Osahar, an ancient Egyptian priest, works with Imogene to release the promised consequences. Doctor Ernst Schneider has his own agenda as he hypnotizes the young girl and leads her to remember her past lives. Jacques de Sales, leader of a subcult in the Bilderberg Group, uses Imogene to advance his power and wealth. Meanwhile news anchor Susanne assists the prime minister in his desperate efforts to convince the British people to believe Imogene's message.

Will the world turn from their evil ways, or will the Phineas Priesthood kill Imogene first? What makes this eight-year-old girl special? Who are the Light Beings, and what is the role of the Council of Elders? If you enjoy a fast, exciting listen, then this series is tailor made for you!

Okay, but not as good as the first book!

Imogene is back and she is being studied by a psychiatrist, Dr. Schneider, who specializes in past life regression using hypnotism. The elders have given humanity one year to get their act together, disarm their nuclear arsenals and provide for the poor or face extinction. What is a person to do?

Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Obadiah and Malachi are back with the Phinehas Priesthood, and they are still raising all kinds of trouble.

Oh, when will it end? Hopefully in the next book. I enjoyed this story, although not at as much as the first book, but still there have been no conclusions to any part of the story. It is like one long story that has just been split up into three parts. I really don't like series like that. I want something to come to an end at the end of each book so I have some sense of closure. I don't mind cliff hangers as long as there is some sort of conclusion so I don't feel as if I am just wasting my time.

My problems with the narrator in the first book are just continued in this book. It is set mainly in the UK and Europe, although there are some scenes at the UN in New York, NY. There are several different nationalities represented in this book but only one person has an accent, and it is nowhere near believable. He has no feminine voices for the female characters. This book would, like the previous one, have been better if only read by a British narrator or by an American narrator with a believable British accent. This narrator is completely wrong for this series.

I will listen to the final book, "Imogene's Revelation", if only to get some sort of closure and hope that this series finally has an ending. I want to find out how/if the Phinehas Priesthood is finally stopped. I want to see how the elders ultimatum is finally resolved. I want to see what finally becomes of the Avebury Guardians. Finally, I just want to see how it all ends.

I received this audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Extreme Consequences

Any additional comments?

This is the second book about Imogene's message. Both books could have been shortened and made into 1 book.Maybe the flow would have been better.Imogene is a child of a 'witch'.A cult of christians wants to take over the world and decides to use Imogene's family as an example.Between this and book 2 we have Ezekial and his brothers, uncles ,etc heads of different sects killing people and saying stupid sterotypical stuff.'You have offended the lord, now you die','man shall not lay with man,no you die',stuff like that.Every faction grated on my nerves because it was all so superficial, nothing backed up these peoples beliefs. There were angels and demons and I could not keep them straight.I wanted to love this series,I came away just wanting to know how it ended.
Timothy McKeans performance was ok,not great. It was stilted and I believe a British narrator would have done better since the story was set in Britain for the most part.

Extreme Consequences Review

This was book two in the series and it was good. I enjoyed it and will look for more in the future. I can't type much as I'm having work done on my shoulder.

The narration by Tim McKean was good. I liked this book better than book 1.
