About this listen
The instant #1 national bestseller now with exclusive new material for more inspiration and motivation from the beloved Fox News personality, Dana Perino.
EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY is a no-nonsense how-to guide to life for young women looking to reframe their thinking, to believe in themselves, to take risks, to understand their power, and to feel better overall through finding serenity and taking action.
Young women seek out advice from Dana Perino every day—at work, through friends, and on social media. The story of her own quarter-life crisis, And the Good News Is… Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side, brought countless listeners to her inbox looking for guidance. Through her mentorship program, "Minute Mentoring," Dana quickly realized that quarter-life crises have begun following young women well into their thirties. Many of them are distressed but conceal it with a brave face. Unfortunately, too much of that can be—and is—exhausting.
To help address these challenges, EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY covers such topics as:
How to manage your relationships (colleagues, family, love)…
How to be your best self on the job…
How to gauge if you're on the right career path…
How to transition from junior staffer to boss lady…
How to solve the biggest problems you're facing…
How to move past perceived obstacles…
For everyone from the job-seeker fresh out of college to the ambitious career woman looking to make her next big jump up the ladder, EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY has tips, advice, and reassurance for young women everywhere.

Critic reviews
"Dana Perino has given us a clear-eyed, practical guide that even those of us who, like Dana, are 'formerly young women' will benefit from. Her self-deprecating humor shines through on these pages with advice that’s tried and true, and that folks will return to time and time again. From 'stepping into the uncomfortable' to 'finding your strong voice' and learning to use it (even when you don’t feel 100 percent comfortable), Dana’s advice is relevant whether you are just starting out, or navigating a mid-career pivot. You’ll find much to love and great tools for your personal arsenal in these pages." (Laura Cox Kaplan, creator and host of the She Said/She Said podcast)
"Young women need role models. I know that if I was in my twenties, Dana Perino would be someone I would look up to for advice on navigating my way through society, my career, and adulthood. Everything Will Be Okay is like having a conversation with Dana. She is witty, engaging, sophisticated, graceful and generous. Through this book, she will guide countless young women through right and wrong. By the end of it, she won’t just seem like your role model, but also your friend." (Ayaan Hirsi Ali, New York Times best-selling author of Heretic)
"The best way to reassure people is to give them good information. That’s what Dana Perino does for young women in this engaging guide to life and work. From clearing your inbox to clearing your mind, if you follow the advice in this book, you’ll be well on your way to much more than okay." (Meg Jay, PhD, best-selling author of The Defining Decade)

Story
Until recently Tess Vigeland was a longtime host of public radio's Marketplace. It was a rewarding, high-status job, and Tess was very good at it - but she'd begun to feel restless. Without any definite, clear sense of what she wanted to do next (but an absolute certainty that what she'd been doing was no longer truly satisfying), she walked away from her dream job and into a vast unknown. Suddenly she was no longer " Marketplace's Tess Vigeland"; she was just Tess Vigeland.

What does it mean to be an adult? In the 20th century, psychologists came up with five markers of adulthood: finish your education, get a job, leave home, marry, and have children. Since then, every generation has been held to those same markers. Yet so much has changed about the world and living in it since that sequence was formulated. All of those markers are choices, and they’re all valid, but any one person’s choices along those lines do not make them more or less an adult.

When she stepped through her own wilderness of spiritual abuse and religious trauma, K.J. discovered that courage is not the absence of anxiety but the practice of trusting we will be held and loved no matter what. The Lord is My Courage is for the deconstructing and the dreamers, the afraid and the amazed, for those whose fear has not been fully shepherded but who can't seem to stop listening for their Good Shepherd's Voice.

Instead of allowing ourselves to embrace our hurt, we numb it, medicate it, dismiss it, or otherwise divert our attention so that we never have to face it.

After years of estrangement, his cancer-stricken father had invited him to South Dakota for Thanksgiving. It would be the last time he saw his father alive. Preszler’s only inheritance was a beat-up wooden toolbox that had belonged to his father, who was a cattle rancher, rodeo champion, and Vietnam War Bronze Star Medal recipient. This family heirloom befuddled Preszler.

Modern medical technology is allowing us to live longer and fuller lives than ever before. But with changes in the way we understand medicine come changes in the way we understand death. Once a familiar and gentle process, death has come to be something from which we shy away, preferring to fight it desperately than to accept its inevitability. Palliative care has a long tradition in Britain, where Dr. Kathryn Mannix has practiced it for 30 years. In this book, she shares beautifully crafted stories from a lifetime of caring for the dying.

We'd hoped that life would be an invigorating adventure or an inspiring journey. We never expected to grow so tired so quickly. But Max teaches us that we can find fresh strength and purpose in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible makes more than a hundred references to the Holy Spirit, and Jesus says more about the Spirit than he does about the church, marriage, finances, and the future. But do we really know the Spirit?

I have been a fan of Dana Perino since her days as White House Press Secretary. She always presents herself with such grace and dignity. I really enjoyed this book, even though I am well beyond the career stage the book was written to. I highly recommend this book to all young women, and I will be giving to some young women

Yes Dana, just YES!!!!
I’ll 5 of my kids will eventually read this, starting immediately with my oldest two daughters, 13 and 11. Her advice, tips, examples, stories, and her presentation of all of it, is simply spot on while being pleasant and positive. This was an enjoyable and quick listen, and I came away with the ability to pinpoint habits that make me more productive and ones that I need to work on.

Such wise advice for all!
Thank you Dana for sharing your advice, wisdom and gift of writing in this very inspirationaland practical how to book.
I bought it for my daughters (in their 20s) and found many lil nuggets of brilliance for me as well. I also want to share with my sons, also in their 20s and starting their careers, but will wait on that! So much insight, good sense and real life application for anyone aspiring to grow and feel rewarded in their career. Thank you Dana!
