Publisher's summary

Suppose, neck deep in a tough day, you resolve to give it a chance. You choose not to drink, work, or worry it away. Instead, you decide to give it a fair shake. You trust more. Stress less. Amplify gratitude. Mute complaints. Before long, the day is done and surprisingly decent.

So decent, in fact, that you resolve to give the next day the same fighting chance. Despite hang-ups and bang-ups, giving the day a chance works! You do the same the next day, and the next. Days become a week. Weeks become months. Months become years of good days.

In such a fashion, good lives are built. One good day at a time.

Max Lucado's goal in Every Day Deserves a Chance is to help you have that good day every day.

Very Encouraging

I love Max Lucado. I have the hard copy of this book and have just not made the time to read it..The hustle and bustle. I’m so glad I listened to this audible. Nugget after nugget save clips of almost everything! Glad I have the hard copy too. This is a great purchase and reminder in this difficult COVID-19 time!

Good Listen

The book provides much to think about, and provides more questions than true answers.

For anyone who needs a chance!

I thought this was one of the most inspiring books I have heard in a long time. Perfect for a book club!

Maybe every book book deserves a chance...

This book is so filled with bible citations, that I feel like back in church. Nothing wrong with God, but I ended up quitting church because of the know-it-all preachers who can always rave one more bible passage, in order to gain credibility of their own views.
For me, it makes this book both boring, monotonous, and gives me the overall impression that this Mac Lucado guy can't stand up for himself, but needs to underline everything with a few sentences from the bible.
I found this purchase to be a waste of money. Get Russel Simmons Do You! instead, for both an optimistic outlook, and some faith-inspiring talk. He gets it.

must love Bible-thumpers

i was turned by the religious bent of this book and stopped listening after about 20 minutes. the description made no mention that this book was written by a bible-thumper, and reviews were not available at the time i purchased it. a complete waste of my money! no wonder it was on sale.
