Eine neue Liebe: Auf Gomera unterbricht Christoph Columbus seine Reise. Er lernt die junge, sehr attraktive Donna Beatrice kennen, die Gouverneurin von Gomera, und verliebt sich in sie. Während Columbus sich immer mehr in der Umgarnung der schönen Beatrice verfängt, warten die Freunde Pedro, Miguel und Philippe Patate, der einbeinige Seemann, in einer Bodega in einer Bodega im Hafen auf ihn.
