Publisher's summary

A tale of four souls…and the effects of near tragedy…

When Brianna Steel and Jesse Pike hold each other for what they fear may be the last moment of their lives, they realize they’re meant to be together for the long haul.

But for Brianna’s cousin, David Simpson, and Jesse’s sister, Madeline Pike, the event has more far-reaching consequences.

Dave, after helping his father and his Uncle Jonah deal with horrific happenings on the Steel property, needed a vacation. Joining his cousins on Dragonlock’s European tour seemed like a no-brainer, and hooking up with Maddie Pike was some decadent icing on the cake. But after looking his mortality in the eye, he’s questioning everything about the path he’s on—including his budding relationship with Maddie.

Maddie, too, is evaluating her own dreams and aspirations, and she desperately seeks a deeper connection to the world around her. Is a relationship with Dave, who she’s been crushing on forever, in the cards? She’s not sure where he stands, but she’s having a difficult time keeping her distance because the chemistry between them is hot and sizzling.

But in the end, a family member’s illness and a near-fatal accident could be their undoing.

Terrible story line and the French was awful

I first started listening to these books a year ago… the beginning books were great! I was intrigued in the beginning because I saw more humanity in the writing that I could connect with. I thought the story as the built in the lives of the steel brothers was interesting to tell each love story, The drama and chaos surrounding the familywas interesting and well thought out in the beginning, but severely declined after the original brothers’ stories were told. The book series that takes on the children of the original steel Brothers was poorly done. The writing was rushed. The storylines were not well thought out. and there is a bunch of open items that never were addressed. The biggest thing I wanted to know was what did Daphne Steel do whenever she was taking care of her stuffed animal stuffing pieces of paper or trinkets as secrets when she would have an episode? I’m happy that the series came to an end because this level of writing is not worth my time or the purchase.
Also, the female narrator that told the story has such terrible French even for commonly known sites like L’Arc de Triomphe or Champs Élysée… You don’t have to be perfect but pronouncing common areas would be an improvement.
