Julia Erlandsson har inte varit hemma i Lummeby på tolv år. Men när hennes pappa bryter benet och inte orkar resa till henne över julen tvingas hon tillbaka. Han inser att han befinner sig i lite av en livskris och vet inte riktigt vad han ska göra härnäst. Inte blir det lättare av att hans ungdomskärlek plötsligt dyker upp efter att ha försvunnit spårlöst ur hans liv så många år tidigare.
En jul av minnen är en varm julroman om att våga bemöta trauman och sorg för att kunna gå vidare och hitta lyckan. Gabriella P. Kjeilen varvar skickligt romantik och familjeband med svärta och livets baksidor.
