Informative
This book is packed with information, but chapters are kept short and are summarized so to keep all of it digestible.
The narrarator speaks very clearly which is much appreciated when listening while driving or in a loud household.
I was surprised at the breadth of solutions discussed, including from diffent cultures, which gives the listener many opportunities to discover what works best for them.

Therapy in the form of an audiobook
Listening to this book was like having a conversation with a wise friend who understands the pain and suffering that comes with living with a narcissist. It's jam-packed with honest discussion about why empaths frequently end up in these exhausting relationships and how to stop the pattern. The book combines thought-provoking ideas with practical exercises that help readers recover from mental health issues including PTSD and the gaslighting scam. This is an incredible resource if you're searching for something that will help you reach a "aha" moment and some real tools to begin repairing the harm. It's similar to having a personal guide to assist you in getting back up on your feet after falling.

Excellent breakdown of narcissistic abuse, and the empath.
As a woman who grew up in the 60s & 70s, recovering from a highly dysfunctional family, I could relate to so much in this book. Abuse like this wasn’t talked about in those times, that I recall. This book is a deep dive in to the various kinds of narcissistic behavior, the tragic consequences of living in that environment, and how to come out the other side.
The book offers various scenarios to help the reader identify their situation. It also offers many ideas for healing including everything from journaling, to meditation, counseling, and even exercises. Use a notebook while reading, and take it a little at a time. Pause frequently, take notes and let the information sink in.
This is a book for deep thinking. It’s a book about perspective and introspection.
