The first book was better! This one is just ok!

Ray Porter's narration was excellent, however, the story in this second book of the series just ok! I enjoyed the first book much more!

Not quite as good as the first book. Still very good though.

If you liked the first one you’ll enjoy this one. Not as gripping but I guess that’s to be expected from a sequel. Definitely worth a listen though.

Good $5 sale

Narrator Ray Porter for $5 what a steal for a fun adventure. Do not miss ray porter narrating Flat Spin/Cordell series and it is on audible plus so it’s free.
This author is not for me unless on sale and a great narrator eg Scott Brick caliber performs the tale see Clive Cussler Issac Bell series, so fun and not to be missed. I have. 3rd book from this author, again on sale, and hopefully it has a better fleshed out story. This one seems like an outline, lots of gunfire but little treasure to be found.
Were my comments of help?

Disappointing encore

I was so pleased with the first book Ramseys Gold. But this second book took an intrepid adventurer and turned him into a winding worry wart that didn’t demonstrate any of the cleverness that the character showed in the first book. Maybe I had to high hopes for this book number two, but the character development that I had so enjoyed before fell flat.
There’s one more book in the series and I’m going to give it a try because of how much I enjoyed Ramses Gold, I hope I’m not disappointed.
