Very practical!

Wonderful examples. He goes a little fast but packs a lot of information into an hour.

Great talk by a Great Leader

I got this book because I've listened to John C. Maxwell on CD and I've seen his video series. Here I'm reminded that if I think everyone else is nuts or is missing something maybe I'm wrong and I'm the one missing something. I was listening to this book while having a difficult time with someone and John points out real quick that we may want a relationship, yet were not ready for it. He's right I was ready to toss everything away because I wasn't wanting to or didn't want to change. Here is a great talk John gave to a group of educators that will change or at the very least impact your life.

Better to have the book

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is not a book, is a conferece J. Maxwell gave, based on his book "Winning with people".
I recommend to read (or listen) the book, because this speach is a cut off version of the other book (with 25 ways to win this people).

If you’ve listened to books by John C. Maxwell before, how does this one compare?

I have listened several audiobook from J. Maxwell, when possible I recommend to listen to the books read by himself. He has the clear idea on where does emphasis is needed and where passion needs to be put on.

Save your money/credits

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Better advice. This is not something that would be 'new'. Basically remember to say thank you and treat people with respect and decency. This book is more or less telling you to mind your manners.

Has Eight Ways to Win with People turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not in the genre per se...but definitely this author. Not impressed.

Would you be willing to try another one of John C. Maxwell’s performances?

Nope.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Eight Ways to Win with People?
