Story
This essay aims to inform the reader about the real mathematical chances of success he faces in the pursuit of women, as well as the modern-day risks, so that he may make an informed economic decision as to how he best invests his life. It also aims to align the reader's expectations with reality so his life is not ruined by delusion or hope, both of which have ruined millions of lives in the past. But in short, this essay is nothing less than the most important cost-benefit analysis any man will read.

Story
Men have been conditioned to be the quintessential "nice guy". They're trained to be overly humble, kind to a fault, and that just "being themselves" is enough to attract and keep the woman of their dreams. Men are told to believe that conventional masculinity is toxic and to put women ahead of their own interests, passions, and purpose. This book exposes the comforting lies you've been told throughout your life for what they really are, enabling you to become a truly authentic alpha who chases excellence and leads a successful passion-filled life.

Story
Our modern society has called for us to “smash the patriarchy”, and the church has not done much better. Instead of telling men how they can hone and refine their aggressive traits, the church has told men that they should aspire to be meek servant-leaders, and when a man shows any signs of independence, he is shown the door. Men are supposed to found households, join brotherhoods, and work toward a mission. God made men to be strong and aggressive risk-takers. This is a feature, not a bug. Foster and Tennant remind us that it’s good to be a man.

Story
In this final master-work of The Rational Male series, Rollo Tomassi breaks down the fundamental mechanics of Game, intersexual social skills, and the nuts and bolts psychology that makes it work. The Players Handbook is not a "how-to" book, it's a "why-it-works" book. It’s not an instruction manual—it is the missing textbook on Game and understanding intersexual dynamics. Game is an adaptive set of social skills and best practices in navigating intersexual dynamics in a modern sexual marketplace.

Fatherlessness is a “rot that is eating away at the modern soul,” writes Douglas Wilson, and the problem goes far beyond physical absence. “Most of our families are starving for fathers, even if Dad is around, and there’s a huge cost to our children and our society because of it.” Father Hunger takes a thoughtful, timely, richly engaging excursion into our cultural chasm of absentee fatherhood.

Those two attitudes clash in unfortunate ways to create struggle and strife in what could be a beautiful relationship.

The rules for living in the real world have changed, because the world we live in has changed. Much of the conventional wisdom the last generation has passed on just doesn't apply like it once did. If you want to win, and win big, and, more importantly, keep what you work so hard for, you need a crystal-clear view of how the real world works - not how you wish it worked, but how it actually works.

In The Guilty Feminist, Deborah Frances-White reassures us that we don't have to be perfect to be a force for meaningful change. Story
Douglas Wilson writes to a young man on how he should pursue a woman. Feminism has catechized us in many lies about what makes the sexes attracted to each other, and evangelical pastors have often only reinforced those lies with platitudes about servant-leadership. When they find out that being a doormat doesn’t attract anyone, young men often rebound to the secular manosphere. Douglas Wilson offers his own commonsense advice, sharp-edged and thoroughly biblical, not just on how to be the kind of man who attracts the right woman, but how to be the kind of man that keeps her.

Publisher's summary
Discover the one thing you need to know about men and women
At some point while you're listening to this audiobook, a light will click on, and you will instantly understand. Things that have been a mystery to you for years will suddenly make sense because you'll see the inner logic of it all. The world will be a new place for you.
Most of the things you think you know about men and women are wrong, according to the author of this book. Krehbiel disassembles modern myths about how and why men and women relate to one another the way they do and offers a very politically incorrect agenda for how things ought to be.
"This book is a stiff slap of Skin Bracer on each cheek after a close shave," says one commenter. "Laugh-out-loud funny," says another.
This book challenges current assumptions guided by feminism and victimhood and asserts without apology that "men and women are different" and that gender roles are not the result of a worldwide conspiracy to disempower women.
These 50 politically incorrect thoughts call young men to abandon the modern approach and look at love, marriage, and sex from a different point of view. It's a radical call for men to embrace the fact that, whether they like it or not, it really is "women and children first", and in order for society to survive, we have to get back to that attitude.
Please note: This is not a scholarly work. If you're looking for studies and footnotes, look elsewhere.

There was a time when everyone knew what a real man was. Now, with changing times, values, and roles, many men struggle with what it means to be a "real man" in the 21st century. What does a real man look like? How does he act? What are his values and morals? What role does a real man play in society? The 12 commitments that Chris and Larry share cover the gamut of life, from family, including your spouse and children, work, health, finances, service, and friendships. This little book will cause you to think about what kind of man you are and what kind of man you can become.

Story
So you're an atheist. Now what? The way we deal with life - with love and sex, pleasure and death, reality and making stuff up - can change dramatically when we stop believing in gods, souls, and afterlives. When we leave religion - or if we never had it in the first place - where do we go? With her unique blend of compassion and humor, thoughtfulness and snark, Greta Christina most emphatically does not propose a single path to a good atheist life. She offers questions to think about, ideas that may be useful, and encouragement to choose your own way.

Double standards are nothing new. Women deal with them every day. Take the common truism that women who sleep around are sluts while men are studs. Why is it that men grow distinguished and sexily gray as they age while women just get saggy and haggard? Have you ever wondered how a young woman is supposed to both virginal and provocatively enticing at the same time?

Some of the most effective talk therapy is self-talk therapy - learning to connect positively with that internal voice that serves as your own personal GPS to guide you through life. Rabbi Shmuley teaches the reader to reconnect with the inner voice of conscience, the source of personal dreams and values, which has been so drowned out by the noise of a culture that emphasizes form over substance, career over calling, and consumption over conviction. Drawing on Rabbi Shmuley's extensive counseling experience, this book helps you defeat negative self-talk.

Yes!
Yes, yes, and yes! Do yourself and favor and at least expose yourself to these ideas. Even if you don’t think you’ll agree. You don’t have to agree if the argument is not coherent.

The Opposite of Almost Everything I Was Taught
As a 57 year old wife with 3 adult kids, I found this a somewhat lighthearted yet very serious exposition of the realities I've lived and observed, contradicting my upbringing which told me to fear subjugation and disrespect from men. Had I known these things as a teen and young married, what misery I could have avoided, and how much better I would have understood what made my husband tick (in a more positive light) and I could have communicated what makes me tick to my poor husband much better. While the title and main theme comes across crass, as do some of the explanations of the differences between men and women, they make the author's point well. Ultimately Greg Krehbiel seeks to inspire men to be strong leaders, capable of gentlemanliness, without apologizing for being a man. He encourages men and women both to value our general differences, and to seek to make the sacrifices needed to be a better person and a better spouse, and to embrace who we are wired to be as men and women, for the sake of families and society, but also for our own contentment and happiness.
What I value most is the author's call for a man to be alpha, fleshing out of what it means for a man to be an alpha without being a jerk. He explains why being a strong man is so important to women, even if they don't realize it. I have so often observed that it is the nicest guys, the weak guys, who bring the greatest heartache to women who need them to first be able to make decisions instead of this, "whatever you want dear" burden they lay on their wives (or other women in their lives), but also women need a man who will stand up and protect them and their family, and fight for what is right, rather than appease bulies and avoid all conflict at all costs, while leaving women to confront and fight the battles on their own--things our 1970s moms didn't warn us about.
I especially appreciated his emphasis to husbands to care for their outward appearance and carry themselves in such a way that other women find them admirable and attractive--because this is attractive to their wives! Nobody ever says that, but it is so true! And his stance on the "man cave" is exactly spot on; again, something I've never heard any man address, but really does have profound implications on the psyche of who a man thinks he is.
The book is obviously written to men, but I found it very insightful in evaluating my own tendencies, and something I will encourage my 20 year old son to listen to, without hesitation. In spite of its un-PC moments, and not being written with a Christian audience in mind, I think this would still be an ultra valuable tool for pastors to work through with young men in their congregations; it is fully in keeping with natural law principles that have sustained marriage and families for millennia, as it's emphasis is to reconsider modern cultural "dogmas" while not seeking to make new, indisputable dogmas.
This was a very easy "audio read" on topics that are profoundly important. I prefer author narrated books, and this was no exception. Greg did a terrific job. Hearing him read his own words kept me very engaged while I was doing some intense spring cleaning (housewife perk--listening to mind expanding audiobooks while working ;-) ) I know there are other books out there that address some of these topics, but this book is very accessible to a wide audience, short and packed with wisdom, so I would highly recommend it to anyone.
