About this listen

#1 New York Times bestselling author Brad Thor returns with an exhilarating new Scot Harvath thriller.

After six months abroad, America’s top spy returns to a new administration, a new set of global priorities, and a power struggle—the likes of which the United States has never experienced.

Drawn into a web of deceit and deadly politics, Scot Harvath is thrust into a high-stakes conspiracy that could change the course of history. A cabal of shadowy elites is maneuvering for control and if they succeed, they will bring the country to its knees.

When trust is fleeting and survival means making impossible decisions, Harvath finds himself at the precipice. The actions he takes will shape the future of America—and might cost him everything he holds dear.

With enemies at every turn, one wrong move could push the nation over the edge.

Loved every second of this amazing thriller. I don't know how Brad Thor does it, but this is his best one yet! 20+ books and it just keeps getting better. the worse part is that we have to wait another year to get a new one. Please listen or read this book, you will not regret it!!!!

Best of Scot Harvath!

I think this is one of Brad Thor's finest. Interesting plot. Armand Schultz's narration was not as good as in previous books, all the voices sound the same. Nicholas doesn't sound like Nicholas.

Excellent book

This is one of the most consistent thriller series I follow.
I never missed one and this new release does not disappoint.
I am already looking forward to the next installment.
Kudos to Brad Thor for his creativity, skillful story telling and for delighting readers like me; the first amendment in its usual every day magnificent form.

As usual, I enjoyed it, and throughly

An action packed story on the fourth of July that is released a few days before the fourth. Just when you thought Scott was done with his work, we are right there with him when he is pulled back in. Saddle up, and enjoy the ride.

Perfect timing.

Every year, I listen to every book in the series before the release. This is the only one that I am planning on returning. It was that bad. Without giving too much away, the villains could have been a little more realistic. The number of enemies facing America, the least likely make a difference was chosen. Hopefully next year there’s a better book. I can’t appreciate that Brad Thor took a risk on a new type of villain. It just doesn’t land.

Disappointed

Overall I enjoyed Harvath’s most recent adventure. That said, the author could’ve left the plot to the world he’s already built instead of making some very obvious analogies to the current political landscape in America. I don’t care what anyone’s politics are, I think we can all agree that we’d rather just enjoy a story instead of being constantly distracted by how similar this is to the news cycle. Thor also needs to keep better track of the passage of time as there were some pretty clear discrepancies.

Armand Schultz seems to have completely forgotten how to do Mike Hainey’s voice which had me confused as to who was speaking on a number of occasions.

It was a good installment nonetheless. Not great, only good.

Good story, serious flaws

Brad has truly lost his mind, Trump truly broke his brain. He better hope that the anti America MSNBC crowd buys a lot of action books cause he’s totally wrong thinking his normal crowd is gonna go for this crap. This is like one long love letter to the deep state, and specifically John Bolton and Mike Pompeo

One Giant Anti- Trump/ Republican screed
