About this listen

Joining us at Audible Studios is E. L. James, the best-selling and award-winning author of the Fifty Shades trilogy, who has recently penned her novel The Mister.

The Mister tells the story of well-to-do (and well-off!) Maxim Trevelyan, who is living the high-life with good lucks, aristocratic connections, and no need to work. Things change when Maxim is charged with the responsibility of inheriting his family's wealth, estates and titles. It is not a role well suited to Maxim.

He struggles to manage the new challenges in his life, but the biggest challenge is fighting his desire for a young and enigmatic woman who comes with a dangerous past - the musically gifted Alessia Demachi.

In this interview, we spoke to E. L. James about setting The Mister in Albania, Fifty Shades going viral, and the music playlists that accompany her writing.

Ended up buying the book.

I liked this interview, thanks for the freebie Audible!

I wasn't sure about 'The Mister'. A lot of reviews were not so good, but it looked (and sounded) interesting to me.
This interview made me decide to buy the book.
The Author tells about the story and the characters, and I liked what I heard.

I also loved she praises her 2 narrators. Narrators are hugely important to any Audio Book, and I liked E.L. James acknowledged that.
She also gave the 2 of them credit for adding music used in the books to the Audio Book.
I think that's a great idea and is gonna be an awesome addition to the story.
