The building of the characters and the overall plot

Some of the lines were mixed started with one character talking and ended with a different character name

Loved how long the story was.

The beginning was a little slow, but I eventually got into it. The music at the beginnings and ends of chapters was rather discordant and sometimes completely miss matched with the moment as well as having thrown me off on what was happening. I loved the characters even though sometimes I lost track of who was who. The magic system was mysterious and not overpowered allowing the characters to feel more normal compared to most of the superpowered characters from most other stories I enjoy.

Good story…narration mediorcre

The music was stupid and took away from the experience. Author is great!!! I loved his Henchmen series and the great narration of that series…this story was good but the narration was not…unnecessary music and the voice changes to denote another character were inconsistent and cringe worthy. Also, some chapters repeated themselves.

Hear me out

OK there is some glaring issues with the missing chapters and that needs to be fixed and the narrator did screw up a few times by either saying a line as one character when it was actually another character or miss pronouncing a word, but I have to say I absolutely loved this series and didn't want it to end! Do not and I repeat do not skip over this series because of these issues. These issues are annoying yeah, but at least for me had no impact on the overall story. The missing chapters was about 30 mins in total of not so important content. Yes I wanted in there absolutely but this over 120hrs. It didn't impact my understanding of the narrative at all. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed 😏

Chapters missing and duplicated

While I feel the narrator did a good job of voicing the characters and the story is a good one, however the assembly of the chapters in the book had absolutely NO quality assurance done to it.

I’m only up to book 7 and there are more than a handful of chapters that are either mislabeled, duplicated where they simply replay the previous chapter over again or seemingly skipped all together.

It’s so frustrating to know that you won’t know if you missed something crucial or not and you have to just, live with it? Please fix this!
And for the love of all that’s dear PLEASE get rid of the sound effects between chapters!

Generally good

I’ll keep this short. Over 120 hours for 1 credit is a steal. The story is relatively simple and would be better for long car rides or a very casual listen. I enjoyed it a lot. One problem that I found is that at least 6 chapters repeat themselves and I believe one may completely replace the next chapter. It’s not a huge deal, but it is mildly annoying. The performance was great. A few mispronounced words but the narrator’s ability to set the scene with his techniques is great!

Good story line

There were a few overlaps or repeated chapters but for how much audio time vs how much you pay its worth 3 overlaps. I’d listen again.

Great story well wrote

I have really been enjoying this I'm on book 6 now. I will say though that in 5 book 5 I noticed it goes from chapter 40 to chapter 40 and leaves out chapter 41
