About this listen

As time runs down for the players trapped by the evil Lich-Lord in the hyper-realistic MMORPG Fantasy Realms Online, Kromgorn the Barbarian is still stuck playing as the gorgeous, pleasure-fueled Lacey the Courtesan, a character designed to level fastest when she’s getting busy with every NPC in sight. It’s a humiliating way to have to play the game, but at least he - er, she’s getting better at it!

But now that Lacey has leveled her character up to an unprecedented level for a Courtesan and unlocked some of the secret, high-level perks of her class - like access to the spell trees of the Charisma-fueled Sorceress class - she finally isn’t quite so helpless as she once was. Thanks to her unique skills, she might end up being the most powerful magic-user on the server, and she has more than one way to make her enemies hot!

Riding high from her clever victories over the Lich-Lord’s lieutenants, she takes to the skies with her guildmate Topper the Paladin to track down their lost friend Jazzus and confront the traitorous Haxor, before they pin down the location of the Lich-Lord and end his evil schemes once and for all. The only problem is that there are still a few nagging, unanswered questions. Why haven’t they been attacked directly yet? Why has it been so easy for Lacey to gain more power? And exactly how many more NPCs will she need to seduce before this is over? Lacey’s victories have all been a little too perfect, and the only person who has the answers to her questions is the Lich-Lord himself.

The action is hot, the stakes are high, and Lacey will need to pull out every skill she can muster if she wants to win the day. Can she and her friends beat the Lich-Lord at his own game, or are they playing right into his hands?

Great book and ending

Fun to listen to and great story line to follow. I enjoy books like this! Also very cheap to buy I would recommend for the Author to find voice actors to do the audio book to make them more enjoyable. If the author wants to know where and how to get Voice actors respond below I wouldn’t mind informing you how to do it.

Cheers 🍻

Don't think you know it all.

Lots of surprises with this one. It was as well-written and well-read as the prior two. If you like this genre, you won't be disappointed.

I was given a free review copy audiobook at my request by the narrator as I needed to hear what happened after the 2nd one and I have voluntarily left this review.

Satisfying conclusion

This is the third book I have read/listened to by this author and I would listen to another of hers in the gaming or fantasy genre. I’m not into erotic books, and it seems most of her other books are labeled that way. The sex scenes in this weren’t so bad because they fairly tame and there were only a few of them. The sex was not the main focus of the book despite the main character, Lacey being a courtesan. Erlix mentioned his private parts a lot, which was a bit funny, but eventually way overused. Otherwise he was a funny character too. I found this book to have a good conclusion to the overall story and was also entertaining and funny.

This is the third book I have listened to by this narrator ( J J Jenness ). The voice for Lacey was a bit awkward at first in that it’s kinda breathy (not sure I’m using the right word) and not a typical sounding female voice, but after the second and now in the third book, I have become used to it. I never quite forget I’m being read to but I still quite enjoy his narration. I’m able to speed up the narration without issues.

There are explicit sex scenes and a lot of comments about body parts, there is not any excessive violence. There is swearing.

Will our heroes go home?

“Dragon Lady” is a logical progression from book two and book one. Lacey continues to fantasize her way through levels, increasing her skills and stats at an unnatural pace. The players are still trapped in-game, and the Lich-Lord continues to implement his domination plan apparently undisturbed. Pressure outside of the game mounts as parents press government and game officials to do something. Time is running out for our crew as they now believe that a server restart will play directly into the Lich-Lord’s goals, initiating Ragnarök. Game elements are still visible although they seem to take a back seat to the fantasy story. I anticipated this volume to be the end of the trilogy, but I’m not 100% convinced. Without spoilers, I can say that there is some closure but it’s not complete. Will our heroes escape the game and return home? A Fitting (assumed) Conclusion

I enjoyed this series from start to finish, something that I did find appealing in the story as a whole but primarily so in this installment was the minimal use of technobabble and that the average character is not familiar with the games inner workings.

Curious if there will be more

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

So, this was an interesting way to wrap things up, so to speak. Granted, there is room to continue the story, should the author choose to. The narration was just as enjoyable as the previous books and the characters were still entertaining. All in all, a fun listen.

Amazing

Everything is very believable as if this could be something real, and everything is very consistent with games as with the two previous books, very enjoyable to read.
