About this listen

The legend returns... It is seven years since a stake was driven through the heart of the infamous Count Dracula. Seven years which have not eradicated the terrible memories for Jonathan and Mina Harker, who now have a young son. To lay their memories to rest they return to Transylvania, and can find no trace of the horrific events. But, beneath the earth, Dracula's soul lies in limbo, waiting for the Lifeblood that will revive him....

The author captured Stoker's style and voice nicely while weaving a tale that would have been the crown jewel in the Hammer Films collection if only they'd had a chance to produce a film version. Very enjoyable!

Great follow up to Stoker's original

Filled with many suspenseful moments but they are those of horror.

A worthy successor to Bram Stoker’s original classic.

Everything you wished Stoker had explored and explained in his original masterpiece is delved into brilliantly by Ms Warrington.

She is a genius!

Not a slow burn

It flows so perfectly from the original... wow... Brom ...must have been involved... somehow. (?)

I didn't even know I was drying for part two until I read this.

Oh, so so ...good!

Amazing!

I enjoyed the story its in the same letter style of the Bram Stoker Orginal and I thought had an excellent plot, and was a very good follow up to the orginal story. True you can more or less predict where the story was going quite early on, and that it might not end well for some, a bit like the classic hammer horror films where the couple decide to stay in the creepy castle overnight despite all the locals warnings, but that's ok and I rather liked that in the story. I think if you enjoyed Dracula then you will enjoy this story.

The story does end with an option to have a follow up but I am not sure there has been one which is a shame as I would definitely listen to that one also.

Very good Sequel to the Bram Stoker Original

Very worthy sequel to Bram Stoker's classic. We'll see if Dracula's Child holds up as equal to it, or if it surpasses it.

Worthy sequel

I almost ditched this one due to the narration. He spoke in clipped sentences, dropping in tone & breath at the end of each one. So annoying that I can't believe it was allowed to be recorded.
The story was decent, Victorian vampire.

Ok
