In it, Jonathan Katz performed as the therapist to a host of big-name comics coming to terms with their neuroses. The amazing cast also included Laura Silverman and Jon Benjamin as regulars, and the show popularized the Squigglevision animation style. In January of 2008, a live version of Dr. Katz was staged with the original lineup and featured BJ Novak, Eugene Mirman, and Andy Kindler as the guest-star patients. This is the result.

Great to see Dr. Katz back!
I jumped at this opportunity to hear Dr. Katz after his years on Comedy Central. Very funny episodes, though they're a bit shorter than I was expecting. Still, nothing is really lost by the lack of animation. I was slightly surprised that the running time is almost 50% live performances, which are a little less funny than the produced shorts. But still enjoyed myself! Lots of laughs here. Check it out if you're into neurotic humor and funny one liners!

First half is great. Second half is not.
I've been a huge Dr Katz fan for 20 years. the first half of this book is top shelf with a good dose of Jon Benjamin (Ben). then the second half either had a live audience our laugh track. either way, it completely ruins it.

If I found a genie lamp, this would be my wish
This audiobook made my decade. I have mourned the loss of the Dr. Katz cartoon for a length of time I prefer not to acknowledge. I was just describing it to my assistant in the car while we were listening to Jen Kirkman's I SEEM FUN podcast. I explained to him how unfortunate it was that she had missed being on the Dr. Katz show in the 90s, as she would have been so perfect for it. Not a day later, I see this audiobook posted on her weekly newsletter and nearly fell out of my chair. I found it on audible and started listening immediately. Jonathan Katz is a genius (this goes without saying) and I love the addition of Kate Micucci as Laura's sister who fills in for her at the office. Laura, Ben and Dr. Katz never fail to deliver the banter, which has only become even more hilarious due to it's continuation in "real time". Many of his previous "patients" return to the show and it features several witty, hilarious new voices among many infamous veteran-comedians, including Jen Kirkman, who nailed it, as expected. My only regret is that it's not in the cartoon format.

Dr Katz is crazy good
Never disappoints! I have listened to everything Katz through Audible and this is the best. The bonus of the live show alone was worth the listen.

Very funny
