Ballistic Brothers!

When an archaeology crew unearths an ancient spear, little do they know what horrors they are actually unleashing! Brothers Mac and Landon, known to their You Tube fans as the Ballistic Brothers, encounter the hellhounds that come from this dig: Werewolves! But, nobody wants to believe that such things are possible and the brothers have to fight for their lives, as well as the lives of their friends.

This was an entertaining story and reminiscent of some zompoc books I have read. The interactions between the brothers was fun and the other characters were great, complete with an older grandmotherly type, a bombshell, and an old curmudgeon. The main thing that kept this from being a 4 star listen for me was the HUGE amount of profanity from start to finish and the heavy emphasis on guns and ammo information. But, if you like your stories to be full of the f-bomb, etc. and lots of gun talk, you should really enjoy this one.

The narrator did a great job and his voices and sound effects added a lot to the book. I will definitely be looking for more of his narrations. I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook by the narrator/author/publisher and chose to review it.

D'Angelo and Dureggor make werewolf magic

I had an absolute blast with DOOMSDAY DOGS by Jesse D'Angelo from the very start. Werewolves are getting hot again (did they ever stop, actually?) thanks to a lot of great things happening in the horror world recently. There are B-movie vibes out the wazoo in this story and it's loaded with hilarity, action, and sarcasm. And everything Sean Duregger narrates turns to gold. And you can really tell he had a great time performing this story. All the voices were great - and some of them said certain things that I can only imagine made Duregger chuckle and really be happy with what he does. But this novella and audio combo from D'angelo and Duregger totally worked for me! You have to check this one out.

Macho supernatural story full of action

A very action packed title.
That gave me very The Expendables vibes but if the Expendables were your typical gun store workers and customers.
The story had me intrigued and I was very curious to know more about the monsters.
The setting was quite humorous and I would dare say a lot of the characters are intentionally satirical.

Most of the characters receive a nice bit of back-story and development letting you get to know them.
The narrator Sean Duregger gave a lot of heart and soul to the characters. Every single one of them had a unique style and voice. As a southerner I was pleasantly surprised by his range of southern accents!

7 Days to Die with werewolves instead of zombies

This story was not poorly written, but it didn't seem to have a unique hook or surprise to it. very predictable. but the characters were well created and the scenery was well described. The story flowed well. I enjoyed it.

The narration was very well done. the voices were unique and creative. I do really enjoy Sean Duregger as a narrator in general.

F@#&ing Werewolves!

I simply CANNOT overstate how much I loved this book! Definitely a new favorite. The characters are funny and quirky and just thoroughly fed up with this whole werewolf situation. The book is written as someone telling you the story, and it truly feels like you are sitting next to someone as they spin the wildest yarn of their life. The narration is spot on and really took this one over the top for me. The different voices, but especially the sound effects for the myriad arsenal of guns, definitely made this a particularly fantastic journey. It's a good thing I work alone, because if anyone had seen me laughing and grinning like a maniac, they'd have thought I'd lost my mind!

Simplistic and Juvenile

If you want unsophisticated, sophomoric action then this title is what you want. The plot is simple, the violence gratuitous, the quips uninventive, and the climax predictable. That is not to say it is awful, just not very impressive. The narration is very good though.

crapload of werewolves, gunship owners. kapow!

narrator gave story a king of the hill feel; only with lots of profanity and golly gees. Not for kids. mindless fun but quirky
Ballistic brothers and eclectic band of customers hold off a sudden infusion of werewolves and work to save the day. lots of fun talk, gun noises from boom to pew pew.
enjoyed the ride

A wild horror/comedy hybrid

This book was insane. I didn’t expect to laugh so much, but D’Angelo is pretty damn funny. I love his writing style and Duregger is the perfect narrator for a story this insane. Highly recommend this one!
