Enjoyable story, quite hot.

This was a nice story. Predictable but fun and enjoyable. The main characters were lovely. The second book is even better (I started with that one). The narrator is the best.

A New Favorite Author

I just finished book 2 in this series and had to come back to flush out this review. While the plot seems predictable, it is still so enjoyable to follow this journey to the lovely cadence of Mary Jane Wells. This book and the next in the series are both added to my favorites collection.

Nailed It!!

This was an absolutely fantastic story, well written with love, humor, and some spicy bits! Perfect with Mary Jane Wells as the narrator who can make books even better!

Worthy of a more than a credit

Such a well written story! First from Louisa and I purchased the second in the Dukes in Disguise (wish it were on audible). You'll laugh, relate and even shake your head at these well written characters and their entourage.

Enchanting!

Lady Gemma Lively’s debut didn’t go according to plan, but she made the most of becoming a young lady of questionable reputation. Night after night of empty distractions, in a household of lackadaisical parents, and a much younger sister Gemma barely knows anymore. Gemma’s circumstances change dramatically when her father, the Duke, dies in a careless accident and her stepbrother unceremoniously cuts them off. For Gemma and her sister are the byproducts of her father’s second marriage to a woman of the serving class. It’s just not done! All that’s left for them is a country property they’ve never seen, and Gemma realizes it’s up to her to take care of her young sister, and incapacitated by grief mother. And let me tell you, their new home is magical! It’s a coaching inn! *insert snort laugh*
Right off the bat there are sparks aplenty between Gemma and the property’s barman. And I’ll leave it at that, because the ensuing adventure is funny, surprising, swoony, and emotional! What a great ride!
I picked up this audiobook because of Mary Jane Wells. I am never ever disappointed in her performance, what a pro!

Enchanting story

Great story would love to read a series about side characters like Lucy the sister or the Earl etc. The story is slightly different. First regency type story wherein the protagonist isn’t a blushing debutant. However the rest, the in disguise duke, the charming though crumbling inn, etc are fantastic. Loves the story.

Peaks early on sex but the story is fun and creative

I prefer slow burns but the fun of the story keeps it going. Great fun.

Fun Story!

Narrator Mary Jane Wells is always a favorite, but this is a good read from start to finish.

Cute fun book! I’m now looking for the next book in this series and every book by the Narrator !
