Acerca de esta escucha
An unabridged reading of Ben Aaronovitch's novelisation of his classic 1988 TV adventure featuring the Seventh Doctor.
With unfinished business to attend to, the Doctor takes Ace to Coal Hill School in London, 1963. The last time he was there, he left something behind--a powerful Time Lord artefact that could unlock the secrets of time travel.
Can the Doctor retrieve the Hand of Omega before two rival factions of Daleks track it down? And even if he can, how will he prevent the whole of London from becoming a war zone as the Daleks meet in an explosive confrontation?

Historia
Somewhere on the frontier between thought and reality exists the Discworld, a parallel time and place that might sound and smell very much like our own, but which looks completely different. Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Twelve Angels Weeping written and read by Dave Rudden, with additional narration from Pippa Bennett-Warner and Nicholas Briggs. On every planet that has existed or will exist, there is a winter.... Many of the peoples of Old Earth celebrated a winter festival. A time to huddle together against the cold; a time to celebrate being halfway out of the dark. But shadows are everywhere, and there are some corners of the universe which have bred the most terrible things, lurking in the cold between the stars.

Nicholas Briggs reads the brand-new novelisation of the spectacular 50th anniversary TV episode. When the entire universe is at stake, three different Doctors will unite to save it. The Tenth Doctor is hunting shape-shifting Zygons in Elizabethan England. The Eleventh is investigating a rift in space-time in the present day. And one other - the man they used to be but never speak of - is fighting the Daleks in the darkest days of the Time War.

Remembering a great serial.
I loved this tv serial and the novelization based on it as a kid. The audio is very good to. The novelization gave more information, and better character depth that was not shown on tv. Also the special effects that did not come out well in serial, come out better in word form. Terry Malory does a good job as narrator, he was always great as Davros, but I'm afraid he doesn't do a great job impersonating Sylvester Mccoy. The Seventh Doctor and Ace will always be one of my favorite teams. I hope they do more audios of their adventures.
