Best, just best

I love love loved this Doctor Who, it's got Team TARDIS with Nine and Rose and Jack and follows a few different stories at a time, so one never gets bored. Never saw the ending coming.

Anthony Head is a wonderful narrator.

Where does Doctor Who: Only Human rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This story is ok. The narrator is what makes it such an enjoyable listen.

Have you listened to any of Anthony Head’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Anthony head has a way of bringing characters to life. Please have him do more books!!!!

Outstanding story!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is an exciting story with plenty of humour and some serious thoughts as well. The characters are very well done; the regulars are true to their on screen lives, and the original characters are believable and interesting.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Daz -he must have been quite challenging to write. This Neanderthal is far from stupid,
yet has great difficulty with some human concepts. Jack Harkness being his mentor is quite entertaining!

Which character – as performed by Anthony Head – was your favorite?

I think he got Jack's voice the best. Somehow he doesn't sound like the 9th Doctor at all this is my only problem with the performance, but all the other characters and the narration are great and I much enjoyed listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but only because I didn't want it to end so I rationed it a bit.

Average story excellently read

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend to either an ardent Doctor Who fan, or an admirer of Anthony Head's work.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

It was a long build up to a short unsatisfactory ending with a few loose ends needing tying up.

What about Anthony Head’s performance did you like?

An eloquent performance with just the right amount of dramatic inflection to keep the story interesting.

One of the better Doctor novels

Well, my subject title pretty much says it all. Anthony Head does a great job and the story itself was definitely one of the better ones as well. It managed to make the 9th Doctor someone interesting and not overly dour as he's often portrayed, but nevertheless, thank God Rose was in the book. Certain aspects of the novel would have fallen very flat and the pacing would have been ruined completely if not for her and Jack. Overall, a really good listen and certainly one I'd recommend.

FANTASTIC

I wish they made this into a special episode. I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions, and the performance of Jack was superb. I definitely will enjoy listening to this one again.

I put four stars for performance because I felt like in the middle the characters weren't quite as distinguishable, but I enjoyed the story so much that it really didn't matter. The actor was great anyway, especially with Jack.

I quite enjoyed it.

I think Anthony does a great job reading anything. Great actor and voice.

The script and take was unique and caught me quite offguard.
It definitely kept my attention throughout the storyline.
