‘There's no end to the horror in this place - it's like Hell, and there are devils round every corner.’

On Leisure Platform 9 gamblers and villains mix with socialites and celebrities. It’s a place where you won’t want to win the wrong game. With Rory kidnapped by a brutal crime lord, the Doctor and Amy infiltrate a deadly contest where fugitives become the hunted. But how long before they realise the Doctor isn’t a vicious mercenary and discover what Amy is up to? It’s a game that can only end in death, and time for everyone is running out.

Read by Arthur Darvill, Hunter’s Moon features the Doctor, Amy and Rory, as played by Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the spectacular hit series from BBC Television.

I have been listening to Doctor Who books while waiting for the new series to start in a year from now 😓. This book was awesome and sucked my back in time to the 11th Doctor. Arthur Darvill was excellent at the narration and sounded sexy which makes me miss his character Rory in the show even more. The description in this book was excellent and I could easily picture the actors Karen Gillian, Arthur Darvill and Matt Smith acting out this book in my head. Highly recommend this book if you are missing Doctor Who while it's on hiatus.

Doctor Who stories are the best

I think I've found the best Doctor Who book out there. There are average ones, good ones, and really good ones, but Hunter's Moon is phenomenal. Arthur Darvill is one of the best narrators on Audible, to the point you forget its even Rory's voice. He masters the Doctor's running explanations second only to Matt Smith himself, the lilting tone of Amy's biting comments, and distinct accents for each of the other characters.

Some of the names get a bit confusing, because I think they all start with Z, but I enjoy listening to these books as it saves me the trouble of trying to pronounce them myself.

I couldn't put this story down (figuratively) and after listening to the first two hours over the course of a few days, I listened to the rest of it in one large chunk. Much like the episodes, it grabs you right away and you just have to find out how they get out of their predicament and all come back together right at the end.

I picked up this story because I love the sound of Arthur Darvill's voice and I needed one more book to get the April listening rewards. It is so worth the $13. If you never read another Doctor Who story, read this one. It is by far the best.

Absolutely the best

I really enjoy Mr. Darvill's narration of the Dr. Who stories. His interpretation of Matt Smith's Doctor can be a little squeaky at times, but maybe I'm just expecting to hear Matt Smith's voice. He does a bang up job with Amelia's snarkiness however!

Arthur nails it again!

Bit more violent and grim then the TV show, but it's engaging and true to the characters.

Enjoyed how each of the main characters have an opportunity to shine and rise to the occasion to save themselves and others.

Arthur Darvill does a fabulous job, his creative range with character voices and accents is impressive.

My favorite Doctor Who to date

Overall, I did quite enjoy this audiobook. My favourite doctor and companions have always been 11 with Amy and Rory. The storyline could’ve wrapped up about 40 minutes sooner, but Arthur Darvill carried the day . He is a fantastic narrator, especially the doctor( it’s hard to believe it’s not Matt Smith).

Love Arthur Darvill

Great narration and excellent story line. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, but Arthur Darvill was beyond fabulous and truly brought the story to life.
