Publisher's summary
A Divorce with Joy is a drama-free, low-cost alternative to a traditional divorce. When we find our marriages in shambles are contemplating divorce, we enter a time of transition. This transition is a great opportunity to build a new life. We do not have to accept that the breakdown of our marriage is an unyielding trauma. We can choose whether this time of transition is positive or negative.
The author, Joy Ragan, is a child of divorce and has over a decade of experience as a divorce attorney. As she contemplated the end of her own marriage, she could not accept that her children would be from a broken home. Joy shares with the listener her experiences.
As you Divorce with Joy, you share her story of abuse, her break down and the rebuilding of her new life where her children are not from a broken home, but two happy homes and live in an over-abundance of love. Joy reveals how she turned the focus inward, addressed the reasons for her dysfunctional marriage and healed. Joy encourages the listener to wait to file for divorce until the anger, hurt and fear have passed so the listener can make a rational decision to save the marriage or divorce.
In A Divorce with Joy, a person is able to distinguish between the legal and emotional aspects of a divorce. Joy helps the listener recognize the ways in which a divorce attorney may prey upon the client's emotion for his/her own financial gain. If the listener chooses to move forward with divorce, Joy provides practical tools to make the legal process productive and happy.
A Divorce with Joy is a very personal story of a divorce attorney's common sense approach to the life change which inevitably occurs as we face the end of our marriage. It is a guide to finding love, spirituality and happy ever after. In the end, no child lives in a broken home.
A Divorce with Joy is about saving the family, whether the parents are married or divorced.

Money. We love it. We hate it. If we don't have enough, we're struggling to get more. If we do have it, we're fighting to hold on to it. Why does money have to be such a source of anxiety? Is it possible to find peace? Yes! According to master integrative coach Nancy Levin, the real key to creating financial freedom isn't changing what we do, it's changing our limiting beliefs - and that requires more than just learning how to invest.

Not For Every Divorcee
Okay, I stuck it out as long as I could. I wanted to like this book but too many things were absolutely awful. The writer does a great job explaining herself, but ultimately makes me think even worse of divorce attorneys by the end. Chapter 6 was especially bad if you want to hear the kind of unempathetic garbage that she wants you to accept as reasonable. Why on earth do we as a society have law and lawyers that feel and behave this way?
If you are in an abusive relationship please steer clear this is not a good book for you!
