Waste of Time

This audio book is silly. The sound effects are nothing but a distraction...this could by design to distract from the lack of substance of the book. The narrator obviously should be in a different line of work - uneven delivery, mispronunciations, with a voice which drives listeners to flee. This book sets the lowest limit for audio books. It caused me to wonder how such a book could get published and why Bacchus Press, Ltd. would do so.

The real man who made America the best country!

Jim Gabler's audiobook of 25 dinner conversations gives us a lovely way to tell 18-century stories by one of my favorite founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson's policy of "not talking politics" at dinner and limiting the conversations to the central people of the time and topics like France, food, gardening, architecture, culture, music, travel, and of course, the wines. Thanks for a fantastic job educating us.
