I really enjoyed these biographies. I listened to this with my teenager and we both learned a lot. Narration was really well done.

This Book Makes Learning History Fun

I am really impressed with this book. It is an anthology of 22 well-known historical figures. It is geared toward children. It is not incredibly deep but points out the accomplishments that would be impressive for kids. In addition to hearing/reading the content, there is a spot at the end of each chapter for the reader to share what they just heard with a friend/student or, if one is alone, out loud to himself. It is a great way of learning and reiterating information.

Adam Gold is perfect for narrating this book. He makes the history come alive and is very engaging. 5 stars

Difference makers

This was a very good short introduction to the people young persons should know about.The reflection question at the end was a nice way to get kids to remember so they can look into each person more.Adam Gold was a fine narrator.“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

Great Role Models

I enjoyed listening to these short bios of great people.We all need to learn from history. The common denominators of these people are good character, determination, and selflessness. We can all benefit from their lives. This book is not only good for young people, but for everyone who want to be inspired to leave a legacy after he is gone! I also liked the prompt at the end of each biography to try to remember what we just listened. Great! Please keep writing books like this one so I can give them to my grandchildren!

The narration by Adam Gold was absolutely wonderful! He has a clear voice, was engaging and made it fun to listen.

Great read

Difference Makers by Claudia Reif Barrett was a good read. This book is a collection of many influential men and women. It talked about their lives and what made them influential.

This is a nice collection of short bios of 22 important people. There were tidbits of information I had never heard before. A great way to introduce kids to some key “difference makers”.

A quick trip through history!

What a great way to learn about famous people! A little teaser so you will delve into the biographies of those that particularly moved you. Excellent for all ages.

Disappointing

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I feel quite disappointed by this book. It’s three hours long, separated into really quick, short biographies of 22 different people. It felt really rushed, and it was American centred. As such it didn’t really feel like a biography to me, but it was too chronologically informative to be a trivia book.

However, the information that was in the book was good, and I particularly liked the ending of each chapter, where you are told the reflect on the great person that you’ve heard about. I really liked that.
