Die wunderbare Reise des kleinen Nils Holgersson mit den Wildgänsen ist der bekannteste Roman der schwedischen Schriftstellerin Selma Lagerlöf.
Im Süden von Schweden lebt der 14-jährige Nils Holgersson auf einem kleinen Bauernhof. Nils ist frech und bösartig und bereitet seinen Eltern nur Kummer und Sorgen. Als der Frühling naht erlaubt sich Nils einen bösen Streich mit einem Wichtelmännchen. Zur Strafe wird er selbst in ein Wichtelmännchen verwandelt. Plötzlich versteht Nils die Sprache der Tiere und hört, wie sich der zahme Gänserich Martin den Wildgänsen auf ihrer Reise in den hohen Norden Schwedens anschließen will. Bei dem Versuch, den Gänserich an seinem Vorhaben zu hindern, hebt Nils auf Martins Rücken ab und beginnt ungewollt eine spannende Abenteuerreise mit ungewissem Ausgang.
Selma Lagerlöf hat dieses Buch geschrieben, um Schulkindern die Geschichte Schwedens näher zu bringen. Auch unsere Version ist für Kinder ab 6 Jahren geeignet.
Dieses Hörbuch wurde von Audible Mitarbeiter*innen und einigen Gästen eingesprochen und über mehrere Jahre im Rahmen eines Freizeitprojektes produziert. Umgesetzt haben wir die erste deutsche Fassung des Werks von 1906/1907.
