Doch wie hält man eigentlich einen Kometen auf? Und wie werden sie den Riesenpilz los, der im Wäldchen der ulkigen Humbidumbis wächst und bald explodieren wird?...
In der Folge "Raketenstart ins All" besichtigen die Playmos gerade eine Raketenbasis, als sie von einem Saboteur in die Rakete gesperrt werden. Die drei Freunde fliegen als blinde Passafgiere mit und müssen zusammen mit den Astronauten den Einschlag gefährlicher Meteoriten auf der Erde verhindern...
