Love is everything but expected.

Eden Monro came to California for a summer of sun, sand and celebrities - what better way to forget about the drama back home? Until she meets her new family of strangers: a dad she hasn't seen in three years, a step-monster and three stepbrothers.

Eden gets her own room in her dad's fancy house in Santa Monica. A room right next door to her oldest stepbrother, Tyler Bruce. Whom she cannot stand. He's got angry green eyes and ego bigger than a Beverly Hills mansion. She's never felt such intense dislike for someone. But the two are constantly thrown together as his group of friends pull her into their world of rule-breaking, partying, and pier-hanging.

And the more she tries to understand what makes Tyler burn hotter than the California sun, the more Eden finds herself falling for the one person she shouldn't....

Did I Mention I Love You? is the addictive first book in Wattpad sensation Estelle Maskame's DIMILY trilogy: three unforgettable summers of secrets, heartbreak, and forbidden romance.

I read this book last year and loved it. It has the perfect amount of Y/A romance and drama. The only thing that could've been better was the narration but it wasn't bad by any means. I just felt like she didn't portray the more emotional stuff as it was described in the book.

Read it last year

First, I’m not the right audience for this book. I’m 32 and was looking for a book similar to The After series by Anna Todd. Somewhere online recommended this book, but it’s no where near the kind of book After is, so this story was actually a huge disappointment. However, in front of the right audience, this is a decent story. It’s very Young Adult. The main characters are 16 and 17, which is a little weird for me. The characters are a little annoying with their teenage drama and being so concerned about being caught staying out late by their parents. But again, I’m not the right audience for the story. I was looking for something more New Adult, with actual adults.

If you’re looking for a PG-13 teenage drama/love story then I’d recommend reading/listening.

Sweet teenage drama story

Good beginning to trilogy which I love to read. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Narration was good.

Interesting, well written story

This book was too high school drama and party poo poo for me. It did draw me in but some parts were cheesy and laughable. I felt that the story line was generic and predictable. Girl hates bad boy but then falls in love with him. It reminded me of the kissing booth. Tyler wasn’t a likable character but he is mysterious which makes you want to keep reading. I didn’t love the ending but I guess it makes sense because it’s a series. There was a lot of swearing and mature themes that I didn’t like about it. It was entertaining but I don’t like it enough to read the other two books. Kelly Burke did a great job reading the story though so I put 5 stars on the performance.

It was entertaining but not that good

Spoiler-ish below!! (I’ll warn you)
I liked the story and it was well-written. The plot was very similar to another book I read recently, but that’s no big deal if I’m entertained. What I don’t get is (okay here’s the spoiler) the big reveal about the reason she left Portland…

…because her friends said she was fat?! Are you freaking kidding me?! I was expecting an eating disorder to follow or something but no, her friends called her fat. What a let down! All the hints leading up to it and just… wow. It could have worked but it needed more substance. And the part about Tyler being abused.. I expected sexual abuse at first. A horrible thing to deal with either way but it didn’t really explain anything at all, in my opinion. Again, it could have worked with more development. Overall, I was entertained but I didn’t love it.

It was okay

I wanted to like this book, but I found it boring and uneventful. The plot seemed directionless and lacked excitement.
