About this listen

Now a much older man, Deckard Cain is on a mission to find the remnants of a rumored Horadric cell, and must call upon all of his knowledge and wit to teach and inspire those around him even as they face danger and death at every turn.

Can he lead the return of a ragtag group of Horadrim and their ideals to Sanctuary...or will they die out with Cain himself?

Stay a while and listen...

I have read all the Diablo books prior. Listened to this one and it stayed true to the prior books. I enjoyed this greatly!

well well that was unexpected

OK.. so I bought this. I am completely pleased to say Cain's voice is that of Cain from the game. there is another book 9 that is a older version but that does not have the in game voices. this version does try to tie into the existing games, and so far it has done its job. the real voices from the games give this book a special value. this book ties diablo 1, 2, and 3 together and gives a lot of back ground.. the newer version sounds and feels far cheaper. I refunded that other book. as IMO this book is superior.

Lots of Boring for Little Payoff

Deckard Cain is apparently riddled with angst and regret, and it gets old really quickly. The history parts are really cool and intersting - but few and far between, and not worth the otherwise painful slog.
