About this listen

"If you want to stay, you have to play the game…"

Steele O’Brien is everything I hate in hockey players.
He’s cocky, brooding, antagonistic.

I played his game, learned his secrets.
But that was before I found out he’s my new stepbrother.

Now we’re at college together, and I can’t escape him.
Or his demons.

It seems that, for him, the game isn’t over.
He says I'm his to play with. His to torment.
And he's determined to not only get under my skin, but carve his name into it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Loves It

As much as I wanted to slap Steel’s face I had to be honest loved this story. Slight triggers but lives hope there is another book for this series.

Another amazing dark hockey romance

Teddy Hamilton is amazing as Steele. I really liked the narration for this one as I did Brutal Obsession as well.

Welcome back to Crowne Point University where the hockey players have few lines they won’t cross and the ladies they go after don’t back down. This was another great dark college romance by S Massery that kept me on my toes. Although we are back at CPU you do not need to read Brutal Obsession before diving into this book.

Steele and Aspen both have a darkness in the both they both need to quench. That darkness makes them the perfect match to fulfill those desires. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Steele go after Aspen and her retaliating the best ways she can in each situation. They have a hiccup or two in there but they figure it out. I really enjoyed them going from hating each other to being on the same side and Steele wanting to protect her.

Things to know before going into the book. This book was not as dark as Brutal Obsession and even if Steele isn’t the bully Grayson was he’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Technically Steele and Aspen are step siblings but their parents get married the summer before the school year starts and Steele avoids going home to meet his dad’s new wife so they never have had a step sibling relationship.

If you are into or not into these you might like the book or run far from it. I’m sure I was too engrossed in the book to list all the delicious kinks they got into.

Definitely a YES for my Dark Romance readers

OMG! So freaking good!! I LOVED Aspen and Steele. Definitely a favorite couple!!!

Aspen is such a strong heroine and I loved everything about her character. She’s been through such a significant trauma in her past and still has the strength to deal with Steele’s crazy behavior towards her.

What starts off as a way to push Aspen away, turns into Steele’s biggest obsession.
He becomes unhinged when it comes to Aspen. His behavior turns stalkerish. He needs to be around her at all times and will do everything and anything it takes to make her his. “MINE”

This book starts right off with a primal play scene that’s scorching hot and the heavy steam continues throughout the entire book but it doesn’t over power or take away from the plot. Every encounter Aspen and Steele have is purposeful and has depth. Their sexual encounters are meant to heal and their conversations build this closeness that draws these two together on an entirely higher level.

Highly recommend you check out this one if you love dark college romance! It’s sure to hit the spot and definitely makes it to my list of top reads!!

Teddy Hamilton and Desiree Ketchum are my favorite narrating duo!!

Falling for the Unhinged

Not sure what it says about me, but I’m loving these absolutely unhinged MMCs… again content and trigger warnings are vital before reading*

It Was OK

I like the narrators, Teddy H is always so good. It was ok for the genre, young ppl, bad alpha men perverts into rough raw sex ,and the girls that love it like that and luv them 🙄

“5 Steele is mine.”

“Incredibly -hypnotic, addictive, raw and all-consuming!”

S Massery has crafted an intricate web of suspense and wickedness this book was dark, tantalizing, erotic, decadent and intense with the perfect mix of emotion.

Devious Obsession is a fire that ignites inside of you sending JOLTS straight through your body like a defibrillator straight to the heart! This book will consume your soul and keep you entranced with every turn of the page.

Steele and Aspen had this tangible and explosive fiery chemistry they unequivocally owned me these two engulfed me in their flames this book was a Ten star read for me it blew me away.

Steele is hands down my favorite dirty naughty walking Red- flag boyfriend of the year this is one of the best bully romances I have ever read in my life. I can't wait for more of this addictive series.

"10 sinfully-wicked stars!"

The narrators were amazing…

Steele and Little Viper

"If you want to stay, you have to play the game…"

Steele O’Brien is everything I hate in hockey players.
He’s cocky, brooding, antagonistic.

I'm torn, not because it wasn't good because it was a good story, but too similar to the first book in the series. It is almost like it is the same book but with different characters but also the same characters that show up in the story. Also, the person on the book cover is a much better Steele than on the Audible version (book version so much better).

The sports romance mixed in with the dark bully romance works good for this series. Steele comes across much different in Greyson's story than in his own story. So it is a little surprising that the stalking and the bullying is much more ramped up in this one. Steele and Aspen both have the same type of kink, they enjoy the chase and the pain, until he triggers something in Aspen that causes her to use her safe word. He didn't realize that she had suffered a childhood trauma and vows to here that he would never do that again to her, it was that moment that there was a change in their relationship and it became so much more.

Steele's sexual depravity goes far beyond what Greyson did to Violet in book 1 and where Violet questioned herself, Aspen is more like bring it on, lets see what you got. There is also a little bit of intrigue/mystery surrounding Aspen's father but again way to similar to the first book. that made feel like I was on repeat.

great bully/stalker book

This is the second book in this series and Steele is a bully, yes, but not like Grayson. He was psychotic. Steele did some horrible things to Aspen but she tried to have a backbone.

The prologue was hot. And the sex was on fire. The two of them together were panty drenching ridiculousness. Loved it. And there was a plot too. Bully plot with a stalker subplot. Like the first book.

Aspen had a history of trauma so watch your triggers here.

There are some things that happen that got a little darker too, near the last part of the book. I'm sensing a theme with this series. Not that this is a bad thing. It's doable. I'm digging the series so far. First time reading this author and I like it so far.

The audio was bomb. I love Teddy Hamilton and Desiree Ketchum and they both did a fantastic job with this one.
