I made it to the end.

There was points in the book the was interesting, even exciting. But mostly I had to push through. The voice of the main character was somehow over the top and unbelievable. I will try another book by the author. There were enough redeeming qualities for me to try.

An engaging well written cozy style murder mystery. I very much enjoyed the pairing of Dante & Jazz, and I look forward to more mysteties.

couldn't listen to narrator, intermittent background tone

I tried but the narrator's affected voice was so grating and there is an intermittent high-pitched tone in the background that kept me from focusing - like a hearing test. I tried multiple headphones and my truck speakers but kept hearing it. Had to give up quickly.
