Ferdinand ist ein kleiner, liebenswerter Kobold, der in einem verwunschenen Wald lebt, tief versteckt zwischen uralten Bäumen und moosbewachsenen Felsen. Mit einer Größe, die kaum die Höhe einer Kaffeetasse überragt, steckt trotzdem eine Menge Energie in ihm. Sein lustiges Blaues, Haar steht immer wild ab, als wäre es selbst voller Schabernack, und seine blauen leuchtenden Augen glitzern vor Neugier und Abenteuerlust. Dazu trägt er ein lustiges Gewand, das ihn ein klein wenig mit der Natur verschmelzen lässt.
Ferdinands Geschichten sind voller Witz und Charme, denn er versteht es, mit seiner Lebendigkeit und seinen listigen Ideen jedes Abenteuer in etwas Besonderes zu verwandeln. Und obwohl er es liebt, die Dinge auf den Kopf zu stellen, ist er im tiefsten Inneren ein guter Freund, auf den man sich verlassen kann. Wo Ferdinand auftaucht, sind Lachen und Freude niemals weit entfernt.
