Great!
This was a great holiday read for the season! I’m not a fan mushy romance Christmas books but this one was a perfect mix. It had enough engaging story line, mystery, suspense, humor, and a tad romance to be the right amount for me. If you are looking for a cozy Christmas mystery this is the one!

Addicted to Mira James
Love this series. It’s smart and funny. Despite being a murder mystery, with all the eccentric and interesting characters, it’s quite comforting and enjoyable. Looking forward to the January installment.

A rare talent for comedy!
I've come to admire and enjoy Jess Lauren's mystery/suspense novels: characters you love to hear about, stories that take surprising twists. Now add humor and you've got stories that you can listen to (read) multiple times and still laugh and smile at her turn of phrase, unexpected gags, and delightful characters. Jess Lourey has a rare talent for humor with just the right sense of timing and application of wackiness. You've just gotta love the 90-year old Mrs. Burns and her bold yet wise lascivious approach to life, the blond Adonis Johnny, entrepreneurial mayor Kennie Rodgers, and all the others. This Murder by Month series is delightful. The narrator, Jennifer Jill Araya, is perfect for this series. You often believe you're hearing different characters speaking. December Dread is a real treat, as is the entire series.
