Superb!!

I love the twist and turns in this story. Everyone has their secrets, even the cops.
I’ve already gotten the 2nd book!! I’m excited to be immersed in the mystery!!!!

Leave the past in the past.

I enjoyed this book because I found it to different than most the books I read.

Ok story

Details were too many, too long, and recapping them too often. Story had promise though.

Terrific Crime Fiction!

Retired British investigators join forces to solve crimes in Florida. This fast paced novel reveals charismatic characters and engaging subplots. Readers find themselves anxious for book #2 in this series. Great narration.

Retired detectives rule!

Enjoyed the straightforward story and action with just enough suspense to keep me thinking and enough details without being overwhelming. And I appreciate the experience and personalities of the retired detectives. 😊

Good story

Interesting and loved location as I’m retired in FL so enjoyed the references and retiree involvement

Left me wanting more!

The story was good, great characters, good resolution... with just a bit of a hint for the next book.

Decent Story but a bit too much angst!

The story was somewhat entertaining but every character seemed to be hiding a fatal flaw they were not fatal flaws. It became repetitive and kept me skipping forward. I will listen to the next book in the series to see if improves or they keep lamenting their pasts.

good listen

I enjoyed this Murder mystery and its unusual group of sleuths. The narrator does a fine job of keeping the tensions up.

Good story but hated the language

I wish they’d provide a heads up about whether or not there is profanity in the story as, personally, I don’t use it or want to hear it. If I had known, I wouldn’t have chosen this book. I won’t listen to any sequels, which means I’m going to miss learning some details about one of the characters that I would be interested in knowing. Such is life.

If you don’t mind profanity, I would think you would enjoy the story.
