Good story but….

Would have liked to hear more about Eleanor and her son’s lives before the murder.

kept me guessing

I love mystery books, the mystic cat was very compelling. I do wish more was done with the cat. Kept me thinking about what was really going on a lot longer than most books.
I can not wait for the next book.

There will be another book right?

Great Characters

Great unexpected plot twist. Story about women discovering what they love in the end. Standing up for what they want.

Always Rely on Betty

Betty has not written a book that I have not loved - and this is no exception. Also, Margaret the narrator, gets a thumbs up from me - I enjoyed listening to her performance.

Everything about this story is my jam. The slow small town feel. A unique building turned into a yarn shop. Yarn, tea, and mystery books in the yarn shop is a dream come true. The characters are likeable and develop over the course of the story.

I hope this becomes a series and that Betty is writing at the speed of light.

not my favorite of hers but still good

I felt the climax was not highlighted enough and the story just wasn't as good as her previous novels. still a favorite author but this one wasn't my favorite.

Offensive mimicking of the voice of a person with Down Syndrome

I found it extremely offensive that Margaret Strom mimicked the voice of a person with Down Syndrome. She should have voiced Toby in a standard voice. This was so inappropriate. I can’t believe this got released like this. I feel that this audiobook should be pulled and re-recorded.
