About this listen

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. The last thing Maura Thomas remembers before her car careened over a steep embankment is having dinner with her college roommate - over 20 years ago. Everything in between is a blank. Maura has no recollection of her husband, her daughter, or her busy, glamorous existence as owner of a Beverly Hills boutique. Maura can't even be sure that everyone around her is who they claim to be. Is it paranoia or self-preservation that makes her uneasy? And then there are the images starting to fill her head - pictures of a life at odds with everything she's been told. As Maura begins to piece together the fragments of her previous life, she grows convinced that her car crash was no accident. But the moment she remembers the truth she'll find herself at the mercy of a killer determined to silence her forever.

It pulled me right in.

It captured me and I had to finish. Much better than Hannah Swensen series. Terrific!

Kind of confusing

Too many ex husbands or lovers for me to figure out. I felt like old comediennes Abbott and Costello during their "Whos on first " routine. Joanne Fluke is a prolific writer of mystery stories but I am finding that I enjoy them in audible form because of good narrators who bring them to life!! Bad narrators can ruin a good book! Listen to audible version of Fudge Cupcake Murders by this author.

Captivating!!!

I listened to Hannah Swenson's series that is authored by Joanne Fluke, and I loved it. I decided to listen to this book and wow, I'm impressed. so different from Hannah's books.
Great story, great characters, and very suspenseful. IDK who to trust!!!

Pleasantly surprised

This was my first book by this author outside the Cookie Jar series and I was pleasantly surprised. it was slightly predictable but over all a good story line. not too deep but much more serious than the cozy mysteries. The narration was very good. I plan to try other books by Joanne Fluke and would recommend this book to others.

Pretty good!

For a free read it was good! Recommend listening while multitasking! Story was creative, but a little soapy. Some parts were very cringy and cheesy, but the main storyline was interesting enough to continue!

nothing stood out I was disappointed in everything I was told that this was a clean author but it wasn't true.

profanity and illicit sex are the only things that really stood out in this disappointing story

Old storyline, not believable

Ugggh way overdone storyline, I think the only good thing about this perhaps the narrator
