The deepest longing of your heart is for one person and one place. Jesus is that person. Heaven is that place. A thousand counterfeits vie for your attention, trying to convince you that they are what you're looking for. But you'll never find true satisfaction with what this world has to offer. What you really crave can only be found in the land of substance: heaven. In Light of Eternity will grip your soul and open your eyes to the realities of heaven. It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

If God is sovereign, how can I be free to choose? But if God is not sovereign, how can he be God? Is it possible to reconcile God's sovereignty with human choice? This is one of the most perplexing theological questions. It's also one of the most personal. In Hand in Hand, Randy Alcorn says that the traditional approach to this debate has often diminished our trust in God and his purposes. Instead of making a one-sided argument from select verses, Alcorn examines the question in light of all Scripture.

Story
Correspondence has fallen into our hands that we were not intended to see. Foulgrin, a high-ranking demon, instructs his subordinate how to deceive and destroy Jordan Fletcher and his family. It's like placing a bugging device in hell's war room, where we overhear our enemies assessing our weaknesses and strategizing attack. To win the battle, we must know our God, know ourselves, and know our enemy. Lord Foulgrin's Letters is written to help us become better acquainted with each.

Story
One of the great adventure novels of our language creates a most engaging central character, Nostromo. A picturesque man of action and popular hero, Nostromo lives to be "well-spoken of" by the citizens of Costaguana, the mythical South American banana republic where the story takes place. Around this figure, Conrad spins a story of revolution, politics, and racial conflict as complex as Nostromo, the man whose greatest enemy is himself.

excellent!
Man is born in iniquity. All people have utterly failed to obey the law of God. You know it. But God, our Creator, (the creation screams Creator), being rich in mercy sent His only begotten Son. Turn from your idols, the things you worship that never pay out what they promise (success, money, relationships, sex, sports) and trust in the substitutionary death of God Himself, Jesus Christ. You are so sinful, blind and lost the perfect Son of God had to die to pay for you (God is a just judge, just like a just judge in our courts, criminals cant be freed without proper payment), but you are so Loved that He joyfully paid for you, and adopts you as a Child, and secures you forever!

Excellent story and narrator
My favorite Randy Alcorn work - mixing spiritual truth and reality with a remarkable fiction story-line. Frank Muller does his amazing narration and flawless performance to bring this book and all the characters to life.

Absolutely lovely
This was a beautiful story that brought to the front that our choices have very far reaching consequences or blessings - and how I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to go where Doc went!!!

Thought-provoking
This is my first book from this author. I didn’t know what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. The message is poignant and thought-provoking, and the narration is done well. I don’t rate the story as excellent because it was predictable at times and a tad cheesy at the end. But glad I listened to this.

Such a Favorite I read it again
Anything narrated by Frank Muller is fascinating. He could read a lullaby and make it sound ominous! The story is believable and the plot is compelling. Even the second time around that last chapter was chilling and amazing. Definitely on my “new” classics list.

Loved it!
I have been trying for several years to read this series that has been on my shelf! I never have the time to read, so I got audible. I am so glad I finally got the opportunity to read this series via audible! I also do enjoy the narrator and how they truly take on each character.
