relive your childhood memories

The narrators are amazing here as Dawn Schaefer has a crush on an older boy who is friends with Sam Kristy older brother.

Meh 🫤

I just don’t like this one, I love all the other ‘dawn’ books, but in this book I just don’t like the way dawn is being used by this older boy. Plus, I feel like the storylines a little lacking. I love the narrator though! She’s my favorite for this series besides the one for Mallory. Anyways, I just think this book fell a little flat if u know what I mean.

Please read

I love this book. But this guy tries to change Dawn. Which is just horrible poor Dawn but in the end calls him and makes him apologize. It’s amazing book. Please read it.

Annoying Narrator

The narrator's attempts at a southern accent and an Australian accent are really bad. Other than that she does an okay job. Thankfully only a few parts of the story needed accents.

Problematic

In this one, Dawn is kind of unlikeable. In the very first chapter, she is dissing a friend for being less good at school then her, and it goes downhill from there. There is nothing likeable about this whole storyline. Dawn is essentially getting groomed by a high school boy, and her mom doesn't even seem bothered, and pretty much says she can see this boy if she gets permission first. I mean, huh? It's also just not in character with many of the girls like the other novels. Mary Anne is pushy about wanting Dawn to date a different boy, and the whole thing is weird.
