My first Dave Barry

I have always seen Dave Barry books in my parents bathroom my whole life. I would read while I did guy things and often laugh. This lead to me purchasing my first Dave Barry audio book. It was funny and made me laugh out loud many times!

Men are pigs...and Dave makes it funny!

I couldn't stop laughing. Dave Barry is great and John Ritter delivers the material very, very well. It's only 3 hours or so, and very lighthearted, so give it a listen if you want to have a fun little diversion.

Very funny!

Great narrator! Very funny book, many laugh-out-loud moments. Would recommend it to anyone. Will listen to more books by Dave Barry.

this is among the best.
I loved it. Most guys I know loved it.

The narrator, John Ritter, was an excellent choice! His voice was pleasant to listen to.

Relationship Saving Experience

Where does Dave Barry's Complete Guide to Guys rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is single handedly responsible for preventing at least one break-up. We were on a 5 hour drive to a wedding and the ride did not start well. Both of us were in horrendous moods and we had not even finished putting the bags in the car. 15 minutes into the drive there was a plea to shut-up! I took the phone, downloaded the book, and started playing it over the radio. 30 minutes into the book we were laughing so hard that we hard we had no idea why were were fighting in the first place. We arrived at the hotel in tears from all the laughing.

Funny but dated

Blast from the past with dated references. Still funny if you get them but ritter talks too fast and his style is so un-emphatic that he doesn’t do Barry the justice he deserves. The punch lines go amiss and I just had to grit my teeth and bear it to finish the whole thing ... I just found him so annoying...

I laughed all the way through

This was one of the funniest books I've ever heard. The tears were rolling from my eyes as I tried to look like I was paying attention to the road while driving. This is definitely NOT the book to hear while you're sitting through a boring lecture or after you've eaten too many stewed prunes! Viva le "guy"!
