Die Autorin:
Rebecca Gablé, Jahrgang 1964, in einer Kleinstadt am Niederrhein geboren, studierte nach mehrjähriger Berufstätigkeit Anglistik und Germanistik mit Schwerpunkt Mediävistik in Düsseldorf. Sie wirkte an einem Projekt zur Erforschung anglonormannischer Manuskripte mit. Diese Forschungsergebnisse flossen in ihre weitere literarische Arbeit mit ein. Heute arbeitet sie als freie Autorin und Literaturübersetzerin. Ihr erster Roman Jagdfieber wurde 1996 für den Glauser-Krimipreis nominiert. Außerdem gehört sie dem Autorenkreis historischer Romane "Quo Vadis" an. Neben der Literatur gilt ihr Interesse der (mittelalterlichen) Geschichte, dem Theater und vor allem der Musik, in fast jeder Erscheinungsform.

Go easy on the music ...
Reason for only 3 stars for performance: The idea of adding background music is not bad but ..... not the same heavy (flawed) scheme all the time! Plus, it should be kept it in the background - instead, it drowns out the voices at times. Not too pleasant.

Spannende Geschichte
Spannende Geschichte und Erzählweise. Allerdings kann man beim Hörbuch durch die vielen Charaktere schnell die Übersicht verlieren.
Der Vorleser ist sehr begabt und verwendet hervorragend verschiedene Tonlagen um die Charaktere zu unterscheiden. Die Musik am Anfang jedes Kapitels stört etwas.

Langweilig
Schlecht geschrieben und sehr langweilig. Die darstellung mit dem trommelnden orchester schmerzt schon fast. Ich habe dieses Buch geweahlt da es eine der wenigen in Deutsch war. Es war ein Fehler.
