About this listen

One hundred and fifty years ago, a terrible curse descended on the Wilcox clan, dooming generations of women to an early death should they bear a child to the bloodline of Jeremiah Wilcox. Now Angela McAllister is carrying Connor Wilcox's child, and if she can't find a way to break the curse, that same doom will fall upon her.

The solution to her dilemma lies somewhere in the past - her own, and that of the woman who cast the curse so many years before. Angela's quest to find the answers she needs will transform the lives of everyone she knows, Wilcox and McAllister alike, and will forever change everything she has ever believed about herself.

these books can be a bit wordy but the journey to the inevitable happy ending is intriguing and fun.

Great Book For Lovers of the Supernatural!

I think this is perfect for all adults I'm in my 30's and loved all of the books from The Witches of Cleopatra Hill Series! Each book had a solid story line that wasn't super farfetched ya know?!. I listened to them all on Audible all read by Hollie Jackson she does a great job portraying all of the individual characters! I hope there are more to come!

Great storyline like West Side Story

with a paranormal theme. Narrator was great, voices were great and assumed reader was smart enough to know they were having sex without going into 20 pages. Happy ending never hurts.

Couldn't put this down

I absolutely could not put this down! I feel like I have to keep listening! Definitely a series's I'll want to read again. The performance was great, just not used to someone else's voice in my head while reading

not all books are here

I hate when you start a series and not all the books are there it's like starting a movie and not getting to see the end that's the bad thing about audible they do this with a lot of their books

The same annoying issue through all three book

This story left out too much detail about things they all felt very strongly about. People maligned the whole Wilcox family based on rumour and we are just expected to understand that without proper explanation. When the negative story and the rumour is disputed by the person/ghost who it was about everyone just excepted it without must fanfare. From book one the Wilcox clan are hinted as being the big big big bad. Other than one *forced* pairing a hundred years ago and one failed kidnap attempt about fifty years ago no proper detail was given about the Wilcox. They were justtarred with this *every Wilcox is evil and disgusting* brush. Angela just showed she was preoccupied with her fear of them but we were never shown truely what caused the absolute ire and hatred and distrust from her people. Of course the Wilcox knocking out her cousin her cousin and kidnapping her showed there was some truth to the stigma but it was all so weak. How Damon could enter the town and bringing in others from his clan with him was just ignored as soon as it was mentioned. We just had to accept the families stigma, until we were just expected to let it go. Damon’s black magic turned up suddenly near the end of the second book as if they remembered they had to take care of that So they wrote up a quick heartbreaking scenario for the women around him. Angela abandoned allegiances so quickly and it had no shown effect on the town. In reality the role of the Prima was a big con as Angela sure was not needed in that town when she chose (just like her mother) to abandon the town. Rituals she was meant to oversee either happened without her or did not happen at all and other than feeling a bit of guilt. It all felt so contrived. I read all three books but I would not recommend them and I doubt I Listen to the series again. It annoyed me too much.
