I truly love this book because it explores very ugly issues that many people have unfortunately faced, and through the telling takes the reader along on a journey of revenge and redemption. Life has dealt terrible blows to the main characters, who have coped with their challenges in dysfunctional ways. While our hero has turned into a cruel monster, our heroine has also been twisted into a pitiful creature on the run from her tormentors. Both of them are far from perfect, and yet it is their flaws that make them perfect for each other. The romance between them is HOT, blooming into deep affection. The narrator was superb. Excellent escapism for today’s world.

I’ll be listening to this one over and over.

A BEAUTIFUL story about two broken people.

The Narrator was phenomenal. I wish A. Cain would do more like this one. She is a brilliant Artist in her writting.

One of my favorite books

I love this book. Sometimes historical romances get repetitive, but this shakes it up. I would categorize this as a dark historical romance and I want to find more like this. Sadly I don’t know if there are a lot like this out there. Narrator is not good but it kinda blended into the background after a while.

The narrator could have been better

I loved this dark Regency so much I'm probably going to listen to it all over again lolz.

It's that good.

A young widow and a baroness are in hiding from her husband's successor and his friends who are evil and want her dead and worse.

And a bastard gentleman who's a little sociopathic and psychotic and completely obsessed with her.

........and it had a happy ending. Kind of rare for Addison Cain.

Addictive dark romance!

So...I already love this book on it's own and I've had this in my wishlist for the longest time, even though I had credits to get it with. I'd finally went ahead and just bought it because you know, wanting to support the author and all. First thing of course, I know I never correctly pronounced things and everyone has their own way of pronouncing certain words so I already know I would most likely laugh at myself for some of the words I've been pronouncing off. That's kind of besides the point I guess but, I thoroughly enjoyed the accents the narrator gave to the characters. I didn't find the female parts jarring or off at all, at least in my opinion. It just made me love this book even more than I already do. Is that even possible?

Anyway, our main guy, he's an anti-hero. He's not the kind of person I would like at all if I ever did meet him. Nothing really redeemable at all. I wouldn't want him for my sister or my best friend. Yet, the lengths he would go to to protect the heroine, man, you just can't help falling for him and rooting for his success in getting her in the end. Best 9hrs of listening I've done.

Made me love the book even more!

My hesitance with romance novels is that they can sometimes be cheesy, this usually disassociates me from the characters and makes me cringe or roll my eyes. This was NOT the case.
Absolutely no complaints.

Amazing and thrilling!

I LOVED this book. I studied a lot of English Literature back in my school days, and have always enjoyed Jane Austen. Her work so specifically defines the time period in England. Dark Side of the Sun perfectly captures this same place and time, and gives the reader (listener) a perfectly enjoyable erotic adventure while still, amazingly, adhering to the rules of society. Well, with just enough outward scandal to make the main characters interesting. By the end, you are all in. Rooting for the anti-hero, and caring for all the characters in the primary circle. Addison Cain does a great job creating monsters that you just can't help but love. It's amazing how many books she has published, and how few of them are actually available on audiobook. erg...

This was my first time hearing Jas Walker, and I loved it. Excellent work.

Like Jane Austen on steroids!

Absolutely thrilling, the combination of Addison's words and Jas' performance left me astounded. My own words can not do this piece justice. I recommend to all who possess that little bit of darkness in their souls.
