Acerca de esta escucha

LAPD Detective Renée Ballard teams up with Harry Bosch in the new work of fiction from number-one New York Times best-selling author Michael Connelly.

Renée Ballard is working the night beat again and returns to Hollywood Station in the early hours only to find a stranger rifling through old file cabinets. The intruder is retired detective Harry Bosch, working a cold case that has gotten under his skin. Ballard kicks him out but then checks into the case herself, and it brings a deep tug of empathy and anger.

Bosch is investigating the death of 15-year-old Daisy Clayton, a runaway on the streets of Hollywood who was brutally murdered and her body left in a dumpster like so much trash. Now, Ballard joins forces with Bosch to find out what happened to Daisy and finally bring her killer to justice.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"It was only last year that Connelly introduced Ballard, a fierce and fascinating new protagonist who instantly emerged as a reader favorite. Bosch, meanwhile, is a grizzled veteran by now; Dark Sacred Night marks the 21st novel to center on him. But fans always finish eager to come back for more." (David Canfield, Entertainment Weekly)

For those complaining about the two narrators. It is fine just the way it is and does not effect the story.

Another great book by Connelly...

Could not get interested. To much Ballard and not enough Bosh. Listened to ten chapters and had enough. Put Ballard in her book and Bosh in his. Wasted a credit.

Flop

I love Bosch. Ballard? Meh. This is not Connelly’s best but it’s still a good one for the genre. But the audio! Oh my. For audio, double narration is simply an abomination. They are just slightly south of ensemble casts. If publishers are determined to force these on their customers, please offer a solid, single narrator option. Titus Welliver is typically excellent.

This is like every other Bosch novel; predictable but fun anyway. Some parts were unrealistic, but if you are a fan, you won't mind.

Predictable but still fun!

very well written. really cool to hear two different angles and voices agreed to the story.

Great story! loved the use of both voices

An interesting pairing of Harry Bosch with LAPD Detective Renee Ballard. Good story telling, good chemistry.

A riveting new episode in Harry Bosch's life .

I liked this book. Ballard is a great addition to the Connelly library. Her and Bosch work well together, and including her brings bosch back to life. He can use her access to information to continue to work cases, and her youth to get them solved. Connelly showed Bosch's age and vulnerability in this one and it's time. Bosch will die a real character, just as he lived. Thank you Connelly for giving him dignity in his old age.

Ballard and Bosch make a good team

Michael Connelly never falters. This story keeps a number of threads running which is probably quite realistic for any LA detective. His ‘insider knowledge’ of the workings of a police department and interactions with judges and the legal system are unparalleled

Always enjoyable

if you don't like first narrator, keep going. it is worth it. Great listen and leaves you wondering where Harry will end up.

took me awhile to get used to second narrator.

A new partner, more drama, and a continuance of a previous story. Overall, it kept my interest but the series is starting to lack on originality and depth. I listened to this while doing work around the house and it didn't require 'attention'.

Bosch's new partner adds an interesting twist and brings with it some current political and mainstream news into the storyline.

Overall, it is a good listen but . . .

New 'partner' for Bosch
