About this listen

A sexy stand-alone arranged-marriage romance from USA Today best-selling author K.A. Linde....

I signed on the dotted line. A marriage contract to seal my union with the devil.

I thought I knew what I was doing. His money and name were mine for the taking. But Camden Percy always gets exactly what he wants. And what he wants is me - my body, my obedience, my surrender.

He wants to break me.

But I'm Katherine Van Pelt. I'll never break. I'll never beg. I'll never give in.

Except I promised him one more thing - a baby. A Percy heir. There's no way out of this one.

Either I comply or lose everything. Do I risk the husband I'm just learning to love, or is this my breaking season?

Great story

I want to give the book a 3.5. I enjoyed this book and have read the previous books in the series however, I still struggled remembering all the characters from the previous books. Please don't misunderstand me, I still liked the book very much. Camden and Kathryn have a love/hate relationship. Their bantering is truly magical and these two really have something special together despite how their relationship started. They both have things in their paths that is dictating how they are in their current life and relationship. But they learn to support each other and not keep fighting to move forward in their lives, together.

Well written

Camden and Catherine’s story is chocked full of bad luck, timing, and distrust. Each one thought the worst of the other but eventually one decides to lay it all out there. But as always the HEA is there but paved in surprise

Finally!!!

I wanted a happy ending for their story. I'm so glad it turned out the way it did. Through both series I waited to hear about this couple and all I could say is finally. I loved it.

A must read!!! Perfect narrator castings and a fire storyline!

Holy fiery enemies to lovers and fake marriage story!! I knew K.A. Linde wouldn’t let us down with this book as we’ve had such a build up of Katherine and Camden through the series! They’ve been together since the first book of the Cruel series and then an arraigned marriage in Cruel Legacy. I will admit I’ve had a hate/love relationship with both of these characters throughout the series but their own story was such a captivating and interesting plot that out all the pieces together!

“The only willing person to save me.”
“My body in exchange for his money and name.”
Camden and Katherine enter an arraigned marriage that they came up. Katherine lost almost her whole trust fund when her father went to jail for stealing money but she’s a socialite and her image is everything to her, which she needs money to do. They both treat each other awful and it’s constant fighting. Their story has so many ups, downs, twists and turns! It’s such a well thought out plot that keeps you turning the pages and invested in their journey!

Sebastian York was the perfect casting as the billionaire heir and Upper East side businessman Camden Percy! He was the perfect powerful voice to portray this high society man! Then there is Erin Mallon who has been a queen as she has slayed narrating these women of the Upper East side! An impressive duo for such a powerful couple!

My favorite of the series!

I never doubted this story was going to be good. I had so much hopes for Camden & Katherine and Kyla has delivered. Their struggle kept me engaged and it really gave the "villains" of the series an outstanding spotlight. The narration was fantastic all around!!

Amazing

Love this series. You worked think that is you’ve read the other two books, that these characters would anger you... but I loved them so much. So worth it. Must read and great narration.

Katherine and Camden

An arrange marriage between this two characters Katherine was in love with someone else and it seem Camden like Katherine but unrequited love. They started to have a real relationship until jealousy with past love and misunderstanding. Also with eating disorder.

Read the first two books in the Series!

While I enjoyed this audiobook, I sometimes found Katherine a little too obnoxious and cruel. I am not saying that Camden didn’t deserve it most of the time, but right off the bat we find her very hateful and rude at the dinner with Camden.

The other thing I found that was annoying was the fact that the group of friends were still very cliquish even in the young adult years. You would think that would end in high school and college, but they were still all about looking their best and talking about being raised in the “upper east side”. I found it very juvenile. But, that’s my only negative thought about this book because I really enjoy the story beyond it.

Even though this was a standalone book, it is still part of a series so a lot of the actions of the characters besides the main ones didn’t make sense to me. I didn’t understand the relationship that Katherine had with Penn, and I didn’t understand the relationship that Camden had with Fiona. I think maybe if I had read the two previous books I might have understood the relationships among the group.

I did like the way Katherine changed by seeing beyond her self and helping others. Camden had a great change, too. It really was a good book, but I suggest you read the first two in the series before this one. I did love the best friend, Court. He has his own story which I am definitely going to check out.

Erin and Sebastian did a great job voicing the characters of Katherine and Camden. I really like the way Erin narrates, but her voice of the male character is a little hard to listen to. That’s pretty normal since it is difficult for a woman to talk like a man sometimes. I know I couldn’t do it. :-)
