Spiral Wars

I couldn't wait for the audible book and read the print copy first. This book has so much visual imagery I wished for pictures. These books are better than The Expanse and really deserve to be a movie or series. I love the diversity the author brings to his novels. He imagines a future where the races have melded through interracial marriage brought about by necessity. Earth is gone so country is no longer important. Now in this fifth book we meet an evil alien race reminiscence of Hitler's Germany. I'm worried because I can't foresee a happy ending to The Spiral Wars.

A series that just keeps getting better!

This series keeps getting richer and richer with each book. Can't wait for the next one! John Lee has developed distinct and wonderful voices for each character.

This story has a lot more unfinished business. Keep the story going! There is a fair amount of ways to finish this series with all of the twist and turns.

Love this series!

The Spiral Wars is fast becoming my number one space opera series. Shepherd manages to maintain the pace and action without being predictable or repetitive while John Lee, by far my favourite narrator, does an excellent job of conveying the mood while maintaining a consistency of character voices.
If you start this series you’d better be sure to always have the next installment downloaded because you won’t want to wait when your current book ends.

Wish it was longer

Loved every minute of it. My boy John Lee was superb, as usual. Now I have to wait a year or more. *cry*.

Goood

As I listened it for the second time, I have to admit I enjoyed it much. Beeing not a native english speeker I still can not evaluate the book correctly, but it is one of the best - at least for me - I listened. In some passages I felt some slowdown of the action, but still it is very good piece of science fiction.

Another thrilling ride by Joel Shepherd. Can not wait for the next installment of the Spiral Wars.

I love this series.

For work, I’m in the car a lot. I listen to a huge amount of books on audible.

This series is awesome. It’s created so well. So much content out there is carbon copied cotton candy and the cotton candy doesn’t even satisfy me so the carbon copy cotton candy certainly doesn’t.

This series is smart and the character development is mature as well as interesting. And of course, the story is exciting. What really makes me happy is I’ve come to know and care about the characters. I’m invested. I feel like I’ve got skin in the game.

Space opera at its best, John Lee remains a favorite narrator

This series just keeps getting better and better. I’ve remained at the edge on my seat as the “family” of Phoenix goes deeper and deeper into the unknown. The release of next in this series can not get here quicker.
