Best ever Audio for Crochet

This audio is the best. I have been crocheting for 13 years and there was wonderful information that has made me better. I have purchased many books over the years, but this one is the best. It has all the information you need to start crocheting and to become better if you already crochet.

So Relaxing and Fun!

I’ve always wanted to learn crochet but felt totally intimidated. This book makes it super easy to follow along, and now I’m actually making things! The illustrations break down each stitch in a way that’s perfect for a newbie like me. I started with a simple scarf, and it felt so satisfying to finish. I didn’t realize how relaxing crochet can be, it really helps me unwind after a stressful day. If you’re looking for a relaxing hobby, I highly recommend giving this a try. I'm already excited to tackle my next project!

Great for beginners and experienced crocheters alike!!

I absolutely loved this book - I really appreciate that it took the time to breakdown the elements of crocheting from stitches, to holding the hook, to helping those who are left handed - I also really enjoyed the emphasis on using crochet as a relaxation tool, as this is something I’ve personally implemented in my mental health routine and have found amazingly helpful!! Whether you’re picking a hook up for the first time, or have been crocheting for years, I’m sure this book will have something useful for you!!

A feel good, relaxing learning experience

Boy do I wish this book existed when I first started my crochet journey way back when. So many of my questions could've been answered so simply. This beautifully written book as the title suggests looks at crochet not only from the usual functional productive take but also the relaxing and healing therapeutic one too. It takes just about anything you need or could want to know about crochet and breaks it and any instruction into nice little easily digestible bite sized chunks to help give you the best experience possible. Some beginner to intermediate patterns are included within with clear instruction. There's even a section for us left handed crocheters out there! Definitely recommending this one to my friends that are just starting out and struggling with the foundations. As someone who has crocheted for a good number of years I really appreciate the time and effort you put into writing this. Thank you for making such a wonderful and easy to comprehend book! I'm sure it will be a huge benefit for many new and learned alike for years to come. :-)

Ease of Listening to an Instructional Book

I found “Crochet for Beginners - Relax and Create” a valuable resource book. The Audible version was easy to follow as I was able to go back and repeat portions I wanted to listen to again. I have crocheted for over 30 years by having friends show me stitches and watching YouTube videos. I never had any formal lessons on how to crochet. “Crochet for Beginners - Relax and Create” taught me the fundamentals I was missing. For example, I never knew the parts of the crochet hook, or the name of how I hold my crochet hook, which is the “Knife Grip”. Ella Knotsley explains crochet terms in an easy and concise manner. Reading patterns has always been challenging for me. Knotsley’s explanation on crochet hook conversion when reading patterns with the metric system, or those from Canada or the UK was easy to follow and made sense. The chapter on color theory is very valuable as well as understanding the various types and functions of yarn. I really enjoyed how the book was written and read in a conversational manner and divided into logical sections so I can refer back to a specific chapter. Learning the neurological reasons why crocheting is so satisfying was very interesting and helpful. The book is comprehensive yet easy and fun to listen to. It is definitely not a dry instructional book. I think it will be my constant crocheting companion.
